Top Exchanges & Server Specs

I created a new page on StartXchange about the server specs.  I noticed on one traffic exchange website it mentioned being on a dedicated server. Well I figured I’d one up them and post the beastly specs for all the geeky people to drool at =P

I also added a new top exchanges section. This is for fun, and I’m hoping it’ll bring some extra publicity to both StartXchange and those participating. It’s a traditional top sites, with an added bonus: I’ll be mentioning the top participants in my StartXchange Newsletter! So not only will you get the traditional top site exposure, you’ll be increasing your brand recognition with thousands of StartXchange Members.

    Nice stats!

Right now mine is running on a server that has 8 CPUs and 16gb of RAM using CentOS. As far as I know there’s 2 sites on the server (including mine) and it runs at 93% idle most of the time.

I’m piggybacking on my buddies server for free, and I’m feeling guilty about all of the bandwidth usage so I think I’m going to be moving to a dedicated server. It will be way more than enough for now with a single AMD cpu and 1GB of ram, but then I won’t be able to brag about the monster server. :P
