Keeping current with RSS Readers

It is really easy to subscribe to blogs with an RSS Reader. Today I’ll show you how to do so with Blog Lines. I have been using it for a bit now, and really like it. You can access all your favorite blogs from any computer, all in one place.
Create a Bloglines Account
Simply go here and sign up.
Add some feeds
How do you add feeds to your bloglines reader? Well the easiest way is if you click on a “Blog Lines” icon. If you click my big orange RSS icon at the top of the page, it’ll show my RSS Feed. I use Feed Burner so it shows you a nice page with popular reader icons instead of the ugly xml code.
Simply click on the Blog Lines icon. It is orange and grey and says SUB | BLOGLINES. It will then take you to Bloglines’ add page, where you can enter some settings. Really though, the defaults are fine - hit the submit button!
Viewing your feeds
To view the feeds at any time, go to the My Feeds page. Here you’ll see all the feeds on the left, and they are bold when there is a new post. Click it to view the post titles, and click the post titles to view the post.
Add feeds easier
There are some buttons you can drag to your browser tool bar that make it much easier to subscribe to a feed. Instead of clicking the orange icon and all that jazz, you just click the button in your browser and it goes straight to the bloglines add page.
Now you are a pro!
If you have any questions, you can ask them in the Training Forum. (even if they aren’t related to blogs or bloglines). Using rss readers can make subscribing to tons of blogs very easy and very organized!
