Increasing Subscribers with Traffic Exchanges

Many people will say that Traffic Exchange Advertising just doesn’t work, however the people who say that are the people who stick up their entire site in an exchange and expect people to bookmark their site, buy everything, and come back every day.

Today I’ll give you some pointers on how to increase your blog subscribers with traffic exchanges. I’ve decided to do this, because as of now I only have 10 subscribers to my blog, and I’d like to get more.

The page I created for advertising on traffic exchanges is here. Below I’ll go over the pointers on how to make your own.

  • Add your Photo - I’ve talked repeatedly about Branding Yourself.
  • Tell them what your blog is about, so if it interests them they’ll join. Nobody is going to subscribe to something if they don’t know what it’s about.
  • Keep It Simple Stupid [KISS] Remember they’ll most likely be viewing your page for 20 seconds, if that. Don’t clutter the page so they don’t know what it’s about in 2 seconds.
  • Link to Subscribe Pages - Instead of displaying all those blog feed icons, link to your FeedBurner feed which has them on there. That way it looks clean and doesn’t confuse non RSSers. Also remember to make them open in a NEW window.
  • Have an Email Option - Let’s face it, not everyone has learned how to use RSS yet, and many prefer to receive an email.

It’s really simple once you start thinking of traffic exchanges as tv or newspaper ads. You’ll only have their attention for so long, so you want to grab it and give them an action they can take.

Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.

Wow! What a novel concept! Yes traffic exchanges are THE place to get your ADS viewed by others. Branding yourself is everything and Traffic Exchanges are the perfect method to increase your subscribers and ultimately customers…use the soft-sell approach. It will take longer but the results will be MUCH better!
