Increase Incoming Links

In this article I am going to go over a few ways to swap links with other sites, even with this one. They are all free and vary in difficulty.
Standard Link Swap
This is by far the most common. You add a link to your site, and the other person adds a link to theirs. You can download scripts to keep track of the links for you. They even have some that will remove a link if they remove your link. If you’d like to link swap with CLiX Network, visit the links section.
Random Auto Link Swap
This kind of link swap is easier in some ways than others. The setup is the hardest part, but after that it is fully automated. You add this code to your pages, and it inserts 1-5 links in your page. Then it gives your site a weight depending on the weight search engines give it, and the number of pages you have. This way better sites get better links in return. Once the code is up, every view it will show 1-5 random links.
If you want to join a rotating link swap, I’d suggest Digital Point. Its a pretty large network and has been around for some time so it has stood the test of time.
Static Auto Link Swap
These work much like the random link swaps, only the links stay static unless they are removed from the network. This is good because it makes the links look more part of your site than the random ones, and if you get on a good site then you’ll get some good traffic. The down side is if you get on all little sites, you might not get as good of traffic.
If you want to join a static auto link swap, Check out Link Vault. I don’t have much experience with this site yet, but it looks good and the idea behind it is good. I’ll try to post an update after I’ve been using it for a while.
Conclusion
No matter how you do it, you should always be trying to get more people linking to your site. It helps your search engine rankings, but even better it can drive real people to your site. You may think it isn’t so, but consider this: Google Page Rank is based on the number of links, because they figure the more links to your site - the higher the chance someone will click a link to your site. If they beleive that, then you should too.
