Are you blogging yet?

We all know we need good content or a great service to get people coming back to our website. Well blogging makes making good content very easy.
Not only can you add content anytime, without any uploading or whatnot, but the RSS feeds make it easy for users to find you when you’ve posted.
Blogging provides fresh content on your website, stickyness, and can improve your search engine rankings.
Take for instance my website StartXchange. If it was just StartXchange, well there is no new content on there. Ok so I may change a few words every now and then, but it’s just a few pages and that’s it. Insert the blog and I’m generating content on a weekly basis. Not insane amounts of updates, but more than I was before.
In my case I also have a forum, and I use subdomains. Using just yoursite.com/blog/ works fine (and in some cases it might even be better). If you have cPanel then you most likely can install Wordpress (the software I use) with the click of a button. But even if you can’t do that, installing it is so simple, in fact, that when your finished their setup page says something along the lines of “What, did you expect more?”.

I’d love to set up a WP blog, but I’ve never reached further than installing… when I hear plug-ins and what not, I just….. go back to blogger…. ;-)
