Well yesterday something extremely exciting happened to me. Last year we purchased a wood pellet stove and it was finally installed! I’m really shocked at how hot it gets the house. Here’s a photo to munch on:

Well before we purchased a stove, and throughout the whole process, even today, I’ve been fairly active in a wood pellet stove forum. People there are very helpful and within minutes of posting multiple people usually respond. It’s very social.
That’s how it used to be back in the day with NetMarketingForum. That used to be the social place to go for traffic exchanges. So I was pondering whether a forum built into CTP would be a good idea.
The problem with NMF is the spam, and it’s a separate entity. But with the CTP Chat, and well CTP itself being a huge hub for promos, training, and what not, it might be the perfect way to get an active thriving community again.
I haven’t talked to the guys about it yet so I don’t know if it would fit into our development plans, but I wanted to get your feedback. If you guys really don’t care for forums and prefer using Twitter and Skype, then we won’t bother. But if everyone wants a forum then we’ll consider it more carefully ;-)
Hi Tim,
I think a forum would be a very good addition to CTP. I tend to pop in to CTP, complete an action and disappear again, even if I remain logged into the site. I forum would make it a better hub, a place where the whole (active) CTP community could exchange ideas. I’m sure there are also a ton of ways a CTP forum could be “gamified”.
I think it’s an excellent idea…Will it be ready tomorrow??
I’m a member of several forums, and I really like the ability to ‘give and take’ as well as ‘in depth helping’.
I like it!
PS I wish I had your stove today…
Hi Tim, I am in CTP daily, so yes a forum there as well, is a good Idea. There are many people just starting out with CTP who have questions. So this would be a great place to get some quick answers, among other things. Could be fun :) Monika
Hello Tim, I do not have much experience of Forums, but from what i have seen i think its a good idea.
Those stoves are really good and produce a lot of heat.
I know what spam is all about! Having moderated 2 forums years ago it’s hard work! But just open to CTP members sort of defeats chat. If it could be open to members of other trusted TX owners that maybe a better, wider option of replies. Food for thought, PS that wood pellet stove looks brill.
I think a forum would be terrific. I used to be able to chat more and be involved more but due to other things happening I can’t. I sometimes feel I miss a lot of info that I had access to when I was chatting more and more active in TElive etc.. So having a forum would be a good way for me to find out what’s happening and being more involved at a time suitable for me.
Hats off to you Tim for always being pro active.
Shelayne
Hi Tim,
Like your stove also! I feel that everything has its time and place. Sites like Facebook and Twitter are great and here to stay. The Forum will always have its place because of its Targeted value. (like minded members)
Best Wishes and…Happy New Year, Ron
I wonder if the semi-conversations already happening on CTP Profile pages might be a better thing to develop into a thriving community. Thing is, if someone leaves a comment on your Profile page, and you reply, chances are they never see your reply if they don’t have a look back there fairly soon. If there was some way that replies (or notifications) showed up on other’s profiles, and somehow kept the conversation thread intact…
Now I realize I’m suggesting you recreate Facebook.
