Analyzing with Google Analytics

Not too long ago I started using Google Analytics on my blog. Today I was browsing around the stats and came across some very useful information.
If you click on “Content Optimization” then “Navigational Analysis” then “Site Overlay” you get your site with all these icons on the links. These icons represent people clicking them on your site. It’s a great way to see if people are navigating your website ok.
If you click the image you can see what I mean. What’s interesting to me (and you don’t see) is that my blog sidebar, where the pages are listed, actually gets a decent amount of clicks.
That tells me that people are in fact finding their way around the blog and using those links. I now know that if I were to remove them, it would make things more difficult for my users.
I highly recommend you try it out. It’s free, and the stats are great. I use a plugin called “Ultimate Google Analytics” that modifies the blog so it also tracks which outbound links people are clicking.

I am also using Analytics, but I haven´t tried the option you are referring to.
Thanks for the information.
