While I’m Under The Weather..

I had anticipated making more videos and having something super awesome for you guys every day, but I’ve actually been a bit sick. Just a normal cold but unlike normal it’s been sticking around for a while. It makes it hard to do videos when your coughing so much.
So I figured right now would be the perfect time to ask you what you want to learn. I do plan on doing a series showing you exactly what you need to do to promote your list from start to finish, but I don’t know how detailed it needs to be or how technical it should go.
For instance there was one comment saying that they didn’t know what a squeeze page was. Are there other things you don’t know what they are?
But then again sometimes I do techy posts and people love those, anything techy you’ve been wondering about? I can do a mix of it all, but I don’t want to bore everyone if nobody is interested ;-) So here you go, post your questions as comments!

Hi Tim: Hope you are feeling better. I had the darn thing and it lasted me over 3 weeks, it was terrible.
I specifically joined your Blog just about 3 1/2 months ago with the hopes of learning how to use TE’S more efficiently. As was your promise in your ad.
Unless I’m missing something, you have not had a single Blog about that subject, other than upgrading in each TE. I do not have the money to do that.
I surf around 1500 sites each and every day with zero results. I’m sure you covered my subject in the past, but how about a refresher course for us TE impaired.
Thank you in advance:

Hi Tim,
I think a lot of people get confused with “autoresponders”. Some people don’t know what they are or what they do.
One other big thing is that even when they know to use a place like Aweber they have NO idea how to setup their list and messages in the back office of Aweber.
To be honest if its your first time looking at the members area of Aweber it can be scary and confusing for someone new.
So maybe a few showing the basics of setting up your auto responder from start to finish. Such as logging into Aweber, Creating the list, Creating an email, Creating the form, and finally getting the code and placing it on your website.
This is just something I think people will like, and really have a hard time understanding.
Regards,
Chris
ditto that
Hi Tim sorry to hear your ill hope you get better soon. I am basically new at this and would like to know more about which auto responder to use and how to use it. I am thinking of usind Adweber
Hi Tim,
I am new to Internet Marketing and the more I read about it, the more I realize that I know nothing about it. I have downloaded E-Books on TE’s and on List Building and I have started reading those, but I am trying to do too many things at the same time. So if you could do something for “dummies” I would be more than happy. If you are going to do something techy I will probably not understand too much of it, but I will learn from it anyway.
Thanks for your great blog.

First I hope you feel better soon.
I know what a splash page is and have heard of squeeze pages. But I don’t know what the difference is between the two.
I don’t use autoresponders. Not because I don’t know what they are, but because they are a no-no in most TE’s. But I also may not know exactly how they work or how to use them.
Have you thought of writing all your posts for newbies first, then copy/paste and add extra detail to an alternate post for more advanced users. One mailing, two posts on the same topic (simplified/techie).
A little more work, yes, but will satisfy most of your audience’s needs/wants.
Hope your feeling better soon,
Val A K
I would have to agree about the auto responder. I know we should use them and that they make life easier, but if you don’t have a clue as to how to set them up, they are not doing you much good. So, for me—-how to set one up would be great info.
I have learned quite a bit from your blog
Thanks for asking and hope you get to feeling better.

a real web pages for dummies…with a start here button, find product, build page etc…from a techy angle. The web is not an english 201 class or a blog page. I searched for something and got a bunch of urls with glowing english but no really useful info. Vague and general.
Hi Tim, Hope you feel better soon!!
I had to hire richard to make my website cause I Couldn’t make Heads nor Tails of the CPanal where I have my hosting. How about a CPanel for Dummies?? That would be for Me!! LOL
Sorry to hear that you have been sick. You will be back in action in no time.
Well i know whats a slashpage is, but dont know exactly what an squeeze page is…
What kinda slashpage is more effective?
Hi!
I recently learned myself how to add a Feed Burner Subscribe form to my blog. I think that it might be a very useful thing to learn because you can build a list with your blog also.
Now I’m trying to figure out which programs to use (Windows Movie Maker and some Macro recorder?) to record screen activity to make tutorials. Would be nice to learn more about different ways to make tutorial movies to YouTube (preferably with free (Windows ?) programs).
Get well soon!

I forgot to mention you do not need a autoresponder until you have joined a company and are ready to advertise to your email list.Gather your list by reading emails.Make sure your campany has a real address, owners name is visable, customer support number and a real product like health, electronics etc. Make sure you don’t just get paid for new members. This is the rules for using a biz as a tax write-off in the U.S.A.Hope this helps.Let’s all pray for Tim as we pray for our family and friends who are under the weather too.
