This sounds like a very informative and important series of posts, and I bet a lot of people will be interested.

I am also interested in a series on “how to run your own traffic exchange”, a series of posts about how to be the “perfect” owner of a traffic exchange. What you should do and what you shouldn’t be doing.

I am not sure if you have done a series on “really effective advertising using Traffic Exchanges” or not, if you have, please post a link – I have always been sort of struggling with splash pages and squeeze pages and the right banners and so on. It seems to me that using traffic exchanges to advertise your business is a little different than using other methods, it would be great to have some tips (I know you did a few posts about the splash pages that you tested).

For the after-you-join list, please do include email hints as well. I am tired of getting messages from owners that don’t even apologize for etiquette slip ups or break their own privacy policies (sharing email addresses and using regular carbon copy).

I’ll probably have more suggestions, but I think there’s quite a handful of marketers that only accept the importance of customer impressions when it suits them. Email is just an important part of brand building as the actual web site design.
