Changes with Traffic Exchange List

Well I’ve probably changed my mind a million times on Traffic Exchange List, but bear with me. There are just so many ways you could do it, but in the end I’m realizing I just don’t have the time to keep track of all the details of all those exchanges.
So I’ve decided to start listing exchanges but not filling in all the details, ie what the timer is and ratios etc. If you are the owner of one of those exchanges, you can actually create an account on Traffic Exchange List and goto the Owners page to claim your exchange & update the info.
The positive is that I save time, owners have control over the details, and more exchanges get added quicker. The negative is if there is no info well you as a user will have to wait till the owner updates the info.
What I’m doing now is trying to add all the exchanges of the owners who commented on my last blog post. If you did, go check Traffic Exchange List for your exchange. If it’s there, go login and claim your exchange so you can add your details in. If it’s not, be patient as there were alot ;-)

Can’t seem to find the “Owner’s” link you referenced to claim our traffic exchange.
Am I missing something?
you have to be a member first.
Once you login it is in the links at the top of the page, or you can follow this link

You go Tim Make more time for your family.Afterall why should you babsit other owners. “Always check the cost before you began building” is in the Bible.
Hi Tim,
I think this is a very good idea actually. Then the TE Owner has to be a little more involved and control what is said about their TE. After all, it is their biz! Way to go Tim! Good Job!
Tim,
I may be missing the point here, but I’m not sure what’s new about this.
I’m (almost) certain I did this before – following the steps you gave is pure déja vu!
So what’s different?
Regards,
John
John – It’s letting all the new people I added yesterday know. Previously I would try to find the info first, and then have owners update it.
[...] Big changes took place at TE List this week as Tim gave the owners much more control and responsibilty on how their exchanges are [...]
not sure what the problem is but the list can’t find my exchange even tho I copied the code exactly & placed it on the front page….no button appears either.
Hi Tim,
I logged in the owners area
but can’t change anything?
It says Hit2Hit.com has a 3:1 surf
ratio though for almost a year
Hit2Hit gives a 2:1 surf ratio.
How can I change it? What I see
is the code I can put on my website
nothing else.
Franscisca.
Ah I figured it out.
Hey Tim,
I seem to be having a problem.. I have an account, it says I am logged in…

If not having a StartXchange membership bans me from your blog, then bad on you. I am a subscriber to your blog. Wanna be picky?
I’ve had two computers destroyed by having used TE’s, and I’m not going to make apologies for the fact that I am very DOWN on them.
To quote Rhett Butler, “Frankly, Scarlett, I don’t give a damn.
I’ve deleted my accounts at most TE’s I used to use. I’m only hanging on to a few because they offered “lifetime memberships” (the famous IM OTO), but I’m not using them, and I won’t.
Until you guys figure out a way to actually monitor the sites you allow to be “auto-accessed,” you’re putting paying members at risk every single day.
Uh no the StartXchange username field is so I can reward commentors with credits at StartXchange. TBH I haven’t done anything groovy with it in a while though..
Thanks for the update Tim, I wouldn’t have thought to check for some time I’m sure. A lot of new exchanges listed in there, good call on allowing the owners to update stats.
Thanks Tim.
This allows us to have greater control over posting the correct information, and gives you time back to spend with your family.
Thanks for all you do for us.
