How to get on Traffic Exchange List

Well this comes up periodically, and I wanted to give you a few ways to get on my radar to get on Traffic Exchange List. It’s no secret that I don’t have every exchange listed. I’ve only got so much time, so I only add so many exchanges every so often. There isn’t a golden ticket if you will of how to get on, but here are some ways to get on the radar:

  1. Have an exchange that’s worth getting listed. Sounds harsh, but if you are brand new and have no traffic flow DON’T ask to be listed! Do you really want to be ranked last?
  2. Add your exchange to the suggest list.
  3. Ask your members to vote for your exchange on the suggest list.
  4. Have people use the TEtoolbox rotator inside your exchange.
  5. Come to Swat Traffic Seminars

Number 4 might surprise some, but it shouldn’t. TEtoolbox is one of the rotators that is used to collect statistics. I can view the top referring exchanges that aren’t on the list, to consider them for inclusion. If you’ve got 100 people voting for it to be listed, and are in the list of top unranked referring exchanges, well you’ll be at the top of the list to be included!

And of course, if you come to the Swat Traffic Seminars there’s a good chance you’ll grab my attention and you’ll find yourself listed. Sometimes catching me in a good mood is all it takes. But, there are some things that are sure to get you not listed:

  1. If your welcome email goes to spam. I use Gmail, and it’s really hard to get in the spam folder there when you aren’t spam, so chances are I won’t see it and will forget about your exchange..
  2. If you spam me..  (DUH!)
  3. If your signup process is broken. You should be tracking signup numbers, and so if you get 0 signups you know it’s broken. I don’t have the time to report broken forms to unknown exchanges that may or may not get back to me.
  4. Have an auto exchange. Traffic Exchange List is for manual only exchanges. If you are auto, or have an auto feature, then it can’t be compared to manual exchanges. So therefor it can’t be added.

Those are some ways to get or not get listed. I’ll try to update this page periodically as I think of more.

Like Timothy Millars, I also would like to start my own TE. I have plenty of desire, but very little knowledge. I have found this blog to be very helpful in gaining some of that knowledge. Thanks, Tim Linden.

Thanks for the info. Thinking about starting my own TE. However, smart enough to know I dont know enough yet. Figure better learn as much as I can before I sink my teeth and my money in a venture. I will say I found a site where you can get them premade to your order so that sounds promising cause doing all the script myself was one of the things that was making me think twice about it.

Check out the link on my name to see my traffic exchange training services.

Not for people looking to nickel and dime a new traffic exchange.

These things take thousands of dollars to get up and running properly and even more to keep running effectively.

Starting a new traffic exchange is HARD WORK and COSTS A LOT!

But are they worth it? Absolutely!

ANY BUSINESS WHICH INCREASES THE INCOMING (CASH )IS ACCEPTED . BUT IT SHOULD BE FIRST EARN FREE AND THAN NO PROBLEM TO INVEST FOR EXPANDING YOUR BUSINESS.

I was going to recommend Jon’s course but he beat me to it. If you are serious about owning a profitable exchange you need to take Jon’s course.

You need to have a min of $3000 in order to start a exchange over and above the cost of the script and the design and be prepared to invest a couple thousand per month for the first 6 months for advertising.

I would only recommend using a LJ script or a tcnte script but the Ventrino is acceptable but they grow at a slower pace. Do not use any other script or you will fail because those are the most popular exchanges to join and use.

You don’t earn free and then expand with a Traffic Exchange. This is a business and as such you need to have a business plan in place. Otherwise it will just be a money pit for you and you will never turn a profit. There are to many really good exchanges out there anymore and you have to be able to compete head to head with these exchanges if you want to earn a living.
