Interviewing 59 TE Owners
I thought it would be fun to contact a bunch of traffic exchange owners, and interview them. So I did! 59 Private Messages later, and I think it’ll be interesting! Here are the questions asked:
- How and when did your online business get started?
- Which exchange(s) do you own or co-own?
- Do you currently work exclusively online?
- How many hours per day do you spend on your exchange(s)?
- Do you do support yourself, or do you outsource support?
- How fluent are you with HTML, javascript, and PHP?
- Approximately how many members join your exchange a month?
- Does most of your advertising come from members referring, or you?
- Are you subscribed to any blogs? Which is your favorite?
- What would be the biggest tip you could give to readers?
Now I don’t expect all 59 owners to reply, in fact, I doubt all will. I realize that many are busy, but for those that do reply.. They’ll get some free publicity and we’ll get to know them better. Oh, and I suppose I’ll answer the questions too, making it 60 TE Owners.

Sociology was my favorite subject in College! This is going to be very interesting! :)
What a neat idea! I find that personally, when it comes to TE owners/operators, I appreciate owners who ‘personalize’ their exchanges.Tim, I use you as an example because you’ve ‘personalized’ this exchange, with member photos, and a very active forum.
