Have I reached every member?

by Tim on December 9, 2009

This month so far I've received almost 70,000 hits from about 90 different traffic exchanges. I tried to make sure there was at least 1,000 hits in each of the exchanges throughout the past week. It sure has made me wonder about all those claims for getting 10,000 hits a day out of traffic exchanges..  Maybe I need to be using 190? =P

Anyways, I've see my results gradually go down.  As more people subscribe to the blog, there are less people surfing that aren't already subscribed. So more of my page views are being shown to people who are already subscribed, or aren't but have already decided they won't.

So does that mean that there are only 9,165 people surfing the exchanges? Well you tell me!

Just kidding.. Of course I know there are more, I don't really think that every exchange user is subscribed. But I do think it's an interesting problem to have. I'm thinking of ways to maximize the traffic I'm using.

For instance I started to advertise Traffic Exchange List more, and my results go back up. So what I want to do is advertise other things to people who are already subscribed.

Hi Tim, I find that I reach a saturation point with my TE splash page views where past a certain point the number of sign ups drops considerably as a %. Its amazing what tracking can show you. Past this point the extra page views are somewhat wasted it seems. The optimal number of page views I need can easily be achieved in 2-3 hours surfing a day. I surf most of the top 20 TE’s in the Affiliate Funnel list and around 10 others. Cheers Martin

hello therer Tim. another reason to change your splash pages from time to time. people get tired of seeing the same old pages.

Gotta hate it when the clicks slow down :) I am just putting the finishing touches on a new email campaign and will be adding a link to the blog as a great resource. I will use a TET tracker and see what that does. Maybe the others here could do the same? Someone once told me that offering good content keeps people coming back, :) Earle
