Downline Integrity.. My Thoughts

It’s over rated, don’t waste your time jumping into the hoopla! The gist is this: Some people don’t like it when a traffic exchange has an email sent out with an affiliate link inside it. So what, right? Well the hoopla is all because of the words integrity, and the implication (and in some cases accusation) is that people who do send those emails are criminals and unethical.
Then there is the idea that keeping downlines in tact will only prevent you from getting a bigger downline. For instance, you can’t promote StartXchange in another exchange because it’s in the downline builder. So how do you get a downline using traffic exchanges? The only way to do that with DIB across the board would be to advertise outside of traffic exchanges, defeating the purpose of using them.
I look at traffic exchanges as a way to advertise. If I want a downline builder, then I join a downline builder. If I want to get emails about the latest news and offers, then I join someone’s newsletter. It just comes down to a matter of choice, you can choose to use the programs you want to. If you don’t like the emails from an exchange, you can either accept it’s part of that exchange, or you can cancel your account.
I think the whole debate on downline integrity was started in an unprofessional way, and I’m ready for it to end. Members are smart enough to decide for themselves if they get too many emails. In fact, I even had some leave my exchange because they thought I sent them out too often! I don’t think it’s really necessary to “educate” anyone here.
