Combatting Traffic Exchange Cheaters

There are people who spend lots of time trying to cheat traffic exchanges. There are many ways you could be considered a cheater:

  • Using some kind of device to surf for you
  • Finding ways to earn credits without surfing
  • Inserting hidden bad websites into rotation

The first two are pretty easy to combat. The last one, seems impossible. You can make it not worth their time trying to auto click your exchange, but they can easily come up with new ways of hiding bad websites in rotation.

  • Hidden Iframes
  • Loading Pages as Images and Other Objects
  • Using Encrypted Javascript

I’ve been able to develop a script that can find alot of this. It’s already active on StartXchange. I’ve been playing with new ways to do it, and to do it better. Some things I want to do:

  • Make the checker undetectable
  • Make the checker check scripts, iframes, and embedded objects
  • Make the checker learn on it’s own

Quite the task ahead of me. Each one of those things will take some time to develop. But once it’s all said and done, surfing on StartXchange will be much better. And if I do it good, it’ll make it cleaner than other traffic exchanges. I could even offer it as a service to other exchanges.

I approve all of the sites in rotation at Chrisitain Auto Surf. I would love to hear about your progress. I have had a RASH of bad sites submitted recently and it is really giving my virus software a work out!!

I can tell you that having owned 2 of the first 5 autosurf websites that ever came onto the net I have a lot of experience with autosurf sites. What I do know is that 95% of the cheaters are from CHINA. I have completely banned any users from china along time ago. The most common method they have is hiding websites in iframes thus cheating other sites out of money for fake website searches. The second method is to run a script to run up their hit count while not even having to open a surfbar. It amazing how someone from china can signup and within 30 mins have about 5,000 credits. These people are a cancer to autosurfs and I do not agree with you that banning anyone from China won’t work. It has worked for us and our users get real traffic and have for the last couple years. “PROUDLY CHINA WEBMASTER FREE”
