Cheaters on TS25!

There was a thread on Net Marketing Forum questioning TS25’s delivery rate. Rick replied explaining that cheaters were recently caught, and were causing the odd hits to not be delivered. What can you learn from this lesson?
Cheating Happens - If an exchange claims they are cheat proof, or never admit to cheating happening, it’s probably because they don’t know there are cheaters or they do know, and are lying. I’m not saying that at any given point someone is always cheating, but it does happen.
Tracking Helps - A member was able to detect something odd, because he was tracking the hits. Are you? One easy way to know if the exchange you are using is being cheated, is to track the hits. If you assign 1000 hits to your website, you should get 1000 hits! However there are some things to remember:
- If you use a javascript tracker, it might not load if the viewer has a slow internet connection. Also, some have javascript enabled only on websites they know and trust.. So it might not track a hit!
- It is possible for the tracker to not load, and it be online. The internet is a massive network, and connection problems can happen. So I can be surfing with a great connection, but some router is having issues and so I can’t load your tracker.
In the end it comes down to track record. If an exchange is under delivering alot more percentage wise than other exchanges, it’s a good indicator. Or if it is normally high and suddenly changes. Your best bet is to contact the exchange support and let them know you saw a change! If they play it down and you know in your gut it’s not good, then find another exchange to advertise on (like StartXchange or TS25 =P).

Hi Tim,
A point well put. I contacted the admin of a well-known text link traffic exchange, and told them it was possible to cheat, and told them how to.
The answer I got was
“we’re cheat proof”
I was getting 2 - 5 credits a click, and never loading the members pages, and this is “cheat-proof”??
I still have them as my startpage (I get a credit for the load) and have a downline in them, but I don’t promote them, or encourage anyone else to.
so, like you say — if the admin is in denial - start looking elsewhere!

[...] the average for that exchange), it’s very possible cheaters are present. This happened with TS25 and can happen with any exchange. The best thing to do here is contact the owner and let them know [...]
