How To Get Attention in the TE Industry

So a few of us owners were discussing how we get all these great offers from other owners these days about credit swaps and joint ventures. We are so privileged to get them. Except for one small thing…  They typically come from people we’ve never heard of before, they barely use our exchanges, and the offer they have really is only benefitial to them and not us. So I’m going to help you out here. It’s real simple, and it works!

1) Use Our Traffic Exchanges!

I love getting an offer from someone who just joined my exchange and surfed 10 sites. Wow. That’s like going to Trump Tower, buying a bottle of water, and asking to speak to Donald himself. Realize that the more you use our exchanges, the more we’ll take you seriously. If you don’t have time to surf, buy some credits!

2) Participate In Our Forums!

I’ll be honest here, StartXchange’s forum is great! But it won’t get you the attention of the Industry. The real forum you want to be in if you are trying to go big is Net Marketing Forum. This is where you should be if you are an owner, new or old! Just remember most of us would rather spend time helping someone who’ll take our advice than with someone who’ll just argue.

3) Participate in Our Conferences!

I go to two conferences a week. The Swat Traffic conference on Wednesday’s at 8PM EST and the Affiliate Funnel conference on Saturdays at Noon EST. If you can only do one, definately do the Swat Traffic one. Yes you’ll have to upgrade in Swat Traffic, but it’s well worth it. Once I finally went I realized how benefitial it is I put it as a priority – I even went in for a bit last night sleep deprived!

Final Comments

Remember that we are all busy, and it’s not a requirement for us to stop what we are doing to help you. We have businesses to run, so if you want us to help you you’ll need to get our attention. Even then we might not help you! I’ll go to conference rooms and not even participate, just listen, and you can learn a ton. Your business relies on YOU, not US, so YOU have to get your hands dirty.

  1. Great post;I have been doing this already.I send a email to the te owner about 1 time a month and just ask how they are doing that way it keeps my name in there minds and latter if I need to talk about some thing else they are ready to listen to me.

    That’s a great post. Just frank information on what is going to get your attention. I’m in the process of setting up a new exchange myself and have been using the NMF for some advice (and met Robert Purcell there – who is setting it up for me).
    I’m starting to think about my launch, pre-launch and JVs and this information is invaluable to me right now.
