This one is tough, I see the pros and cons already. I'm not really sure how it will pan out, but I'm very curious to know what you think about it. Now before you comment I want you to actually try it out, let's not be hypothetical here..
Basically the selling point is that you log in there and get to check the stats on all your campaigns in all the exchanges. It only works with the exchanges that want to, it's not scraping & faking logins like some people have tried in the past. So for the user in mind, it's Gold.
But here is where the controversy comes in. If you login there and check your stats there, do you need to login to the exchange anymore? Some say you'll login more, others say less, I'm not sure yet.
I think you'll login more because you'll see that you don't have any credits in. It can be helpful to owners because it's easy to lose track of exchanges, so having one spot where you can sort & see where you need to surf (or buy ;-)) in one place is great. (which I might add, I've heard a few people, myself included, re-discover exchanges they had forgotten about).
But then I think you'll login less because you'll also see where you do have credits assigned and you don't need to surf more. So is that going to be a problem?
In the end, I think the users will love it. It will save me time for sure, but only time will tell how it changes things for the owners. I say bring it on, what do you say?
More importantly though, I'd like to know what you think? Make sure you try it out on a few exchanges though first, see how it actually shows you the stats before you make a call. Then let me know if you think you'll be even using it, if you think it'll get you logging in more often or less often? I'm very curious.

Tim,
You never cease to amaze me with the different “tricks of the trade” you come up with. Nice touch, and yes, I believe it is a nice tool for those that are involved in a ton of different exchanges. I used to be that way, but I have narrowed mine down to 5 or 6 that work best for me.
One of the reasons I have slowed down is the advent of the business social sites (see my website link), as they give you more direct interaction with your potential customers and not just a count-down timer that people are doing on auto-pilot these days. With a business social site, I can promote my opportunities/businesses as well as interact with and discuss things with the very people that can be potential customers. I also can receive immediate feedback on what is working and what isn’t.
Thanks for another great tool, and yes, many will find it extremely useful.
I think that I will not be using this site. I believe that if you just maximize your surfing time in the top 10 exchanges you will be covering enough of an audience to penetrate the market. Personally, I surf 200-250 sites on my top 10 exchanges everyday, and I set my “CPD (credits per day)” to a point where I know that I will be getting 24 hour coverage. If you are not consistently surfing, then you will not consistently get credits. I think this program is good for those who are inconsistent surfers though.
I like your thoughts on this though, Tim! Hopefully some great discussion will follow from both users and owners.

Interesting post.
As an owner, I feel like it will help members remember that they are a member of my exchange. And if they see their credit balance or whatever is low they’ll remember to log in there.
However, if they didn’t see this – who’s to say they would -ever- login to check their balances, anyways?
In my eyes it’s a good tool to keep people coming back, logging in, buying more, and surfing more.
I could be biased, though.
TECP is a dream come true for someone who loves to be organized but too frenetic to keep pace – like me;-). I think it is definitely a positive for TE Owners because it will keep members up to date on their TE marketing. Less credits sitting doing nothing doesn’t help the TE does it?
TECP will not deter people from going to certain exchanges, because they will log-in or not log-in if TECP existed or not. People have their favorite exchanges and there are those who surf top ranked exchanges.
TECP doesn’t control any of the above. I use it for what it is meant for to keep organized and know where I need to surf/buy credits – not to mention the opportunity to earn a buck promoting it:-)

I couldn’t have said it better myself Jimmy. :)
Just this morning I saved myself so much time by scanning my TECP credit inventory and knowing EXACTLY where I had to log in to assign credits or surf. Actually I’m surfing a site right now that I hadn’t thought of logging into today, but when I saw I had no credits left I realized I had to replenish my inventory.
I think it’s a win/win for both surfers AND owners. People will log in and assign credits more often if they see them sitting there….and we all know that credits do no good just sitting in your account.
For me it’s a HUGE time saver. :)
I don’t see it being a problem, since members still need to login to assign their credits. When I do login to an exchange, it will be to buy more credits so I’ll be more likely to purchase a login offer.
Great article Tim!!
I think for the folks who are only surfing and not purchasing credits it will be a great asset! They will be using it to make sure they keep there credits at a level to keep traffic in the exchanges. For those who are buying credits also will want to make sure they are keeping those credits balanced. If they run low they will either do a little surfing or purchase more credits. As with any tool it will vary from person to person on it’s value and if they use it to the full ability!
Thank you,
Paul
I have been using it for a couple days – its great. This time I disagree totally with Tim however. I dont personaly think it will effect TE logins whasoever.
Why?
Because so many of us are paying members of perhaps only one, maybe a couple TE’s.
We HAVE to log in to surf for credits at those TE’s where we are free members.
And the TE’s we ARE paid members of?
We HAVE to log in there also to manage our URLS.
So bottom line in my opinion is that TE Command Post ROCKS.
One last thing however – Personally I cant really see any point in being a paid member of TE Command Post – except you can add more TE’s and get a bigger commission on referals – if you can get any.
Just my 3.7654 cents
Hi Tim,
I don’t see it being that big of a problem. Sure members might log in as often if they have credits, however they will still log into their accounts to surf and do other things.
One thing this will allow is for other exchanges that might be forgotten about to get back a little traffic, and maybe even a few new members.
Regards,
Chris
I added a dozen of my favorite sites to my Command Post yesterday and immediately saw that I had racked-up a sizable amount of banner and text ad impressions at a few different sites. This is going to be a great time-saver for me, plus, as an upgraded member I can upload my personal banners at TECP and can track my text ad and banner campaigns. This is a terrific tool to help us get organized with our TE advertising.
I can see it helping with the login. But it can also give the people that are not tracking a little bit of a tracking aspect to see where their views are coming from. If you only see 2 or 3 credits coming out of your account then you know you don’t need to be focused on that exchange and move on.
As I said the other day, I love TECP. I logged in again this morning and already many more TEs have added their programs to TECP. This is sure to be huge, at least for scatter-brained people like me. LOL Finally one site where I can log in and see where I need to surf. :) This will save me time and help organize my surfing efforts. Awesome program!!!
Hey, Tim I agree with Steve Goodwin, I dont see the point for people that are all ready managing their surfing just fine. I consistently surf over 65 traffic exchanges, I manage them in groups of twelve. If your using a browser like crazybrowser you are able to open as many sites at one time and organize your surf exchanges in groups. I do not think it would even help inconsistent surfers, it really comes down to motivation for people to surf and want to manage their account and credits.
How ever I do see one area it would help out in, some traffic exchanges communicate with their members and some do not. So if I was a traffic exchange owner who did not communicate with its members very often, I would definitely want my site as part of the program. Because some people who are not very organized and do not have that type of personality would benefit as well, because it would act like a reminder for them to log in and surf with the traffic exchanges that do not remind them (communicate) . I can tell you this the traffic exchange owners who effectively communicate with their members have a way more active exchange.
Hi Tim I joined under my friend Matthew Graves and sofar I love it.
I have about 20 TE’s set up including SX. As I am a bit slow to catch on to
the total picture but am learning.Just got my first ref so that is a start.

Tim,
First of all I love TECP..ok now that that is out of the way. LOL
Honest opinion is I have already noticed people who have not logged in for months logging in and assigning credits and impressions. This is Awesome!
Since it is still new I have yet to see if they will also surf. So far most of them are coming back and knocking the dust off of credits/impressions they forgot about. So not many are surfing just yet. However, I do feel in time this program will help round out where people are surfing as they notice they dont have ads running in some exchanges.
I think this may breath some new life into the industry. I did not send out my usual emails last night and today, just so I could see if it was getting members to login. From what I can see Yes it is but as I said not all of them are surfing just yet.
My advice to TE owners is wait and see as it will take a bit of time to see if it will get people surfing. My advice to Surfers is USE THIS TOOL! It will help you keep your ads seen more regularly.
Awesome Concept put together by People who know what they are doing in this industry.

Although I’ve only been a member for one day, I have already seen how TECP can simply my TE activity, mainly being able to see at a glance which sites at which exchanges need more hits assigned.
As stated in a couple of previous comments, I don’t think it will alter my surfing, I still have my 10 or so favorites – the ones that have proven to deliver the best results.
As the owner of a small exchange, I hope that using TECP will allow my members to see which of their sites need more credits…if only to cut down on the number of emails I have to send to members to remind them to assign more credits to their sites.
It’s too early to be sure, but here’s hoping.

Hi Tim
I think it is a great tool for sure,But I feel no matter what tool comes out to make things better we still have our favorites that we will always surf whether we need to or not. I also feel that it might change a little but not a lot because us owners send out emails reminding members to surf and usually the commited and loyal members are the ones that respond to the reminders.
So I will say it won’t make a significant difference.
Hey Tim,
Good thread on TE Command Post. I surf 23 TE’s and pretty much know where I need to surf to keep my pages in circulation 24/7. I think this will be bad for the TE’s where there isn’t much credit turnover as those ppl that dont track will realise that 90% of TE surfers are pretty much in the top 10 exchanges on AF,TH or Tim’s ranking list and that is were a majority of new TE surfers are joining up anyway. I know with my tracking the extra time and effort required to surf those sites below the top 20 just isn’t worth it for me. And a question for those in the know, what happened to TRAFFIC PONY that was supposed to launch in May? Haven’t heard anything from them or about why it didn’t happen! Just curious LOL
Cheers
Martin
Hiya Martin,
I’m not sure if you were joking or not – and I know you mentioned to me not too long ago you had had to be away for a while so I’m just going to answer what I think you’re asking assuming you’re not kidding (lol).
Are you talking about “Pony Surf”? That was the “code name” for Sweeva. ;)
Hi Tim,
It took some time before I got into TECP. When I got a bunch of mails about the same item I tend to skip them in advance. However, I have opened one, decided to look what might be different and I have signed up.
When you have a lot of activities throughout the day it’s good to have a central point where you can check in one glance how your te’s are doing. I surf my favorites always, but the additional ones I may now take from this list.
As with everything you will have people who like it or not, but in my opinion it’s a great feature in saving time and inproving more fixed surfing .

As a surfer I go through my emails daily to see which exchanges are offering the most credits.Iassign 90% to show as I surf. I do not care about the other 10% I let it build and if I want to promote a new site, I have the credits ! Most exchanges email you when your credits are getting low. I joined this anyway to use as another form of income! I have made more money faster than in any other new program! Know why? I had the other 10% of my credits just waiting for a new program to promote! Works for me. mary bird foxybird
Hey Tim,
As someone with organizational issues, having all the exchanges I use in one area is an incredible help. I don’t always remember to surf all of them, so having a visual reminder is incredibly useful. I personally think this will help out anyone who has trouble tracking all the exchanges they’re on. Which would, like with myself, visually remind them to log in and surf, or purchase credits (depends what they’re in to). That’s just my 2 cents.
