There are literally hundreds of exchanges online today. Which means there are hundreds of owners out there too. I've tried my best to offer services to owners that will help them be better owners. The more quality exchanges we have online, the better our industry will look to those coming in.
#1 Traffic Exchange Owner Reports
This is by far the coolest thing I've done. I've been doing it for a while now, months if not a year. Here's a screenshot of one report:
Essentially it's a report that tells you which exchanges you need to be advertising your exchange on. But it does it with such detail it's superb. You can also see the Change column which will turn green if you are targeting & gaining users from that exchange, and red if you are slacking behind.
If you watch me on TE Live you'll see I print the report out every week and post it on my wall. I was giving out these reports free and multiple owners told me I was crazy and should sell them so only the serious owners get em. And well to make some cash ;-) So you can purchase them from Traffic Exchange List for $47/month. A new report is generated every Monday morning.
#2 TEtoolbox Safe Site Scanner
This thing gets rave reviews, and it's what's kept StartXchange one of (if not THE) cleanest exchanges. It catches just about everything, and has the flexibility to be customized by each owner individually. If you get tired of checking each site for bad stuff then you need the scanner the big dogs are using.
This one is actually free. We'll get it installed for you for $50. Which will be required unless you already know how to do it, which in that case you wouldn't be finding out about it here would you?
#3 Tim Linden's Owner Mailing List
So this one is brand new. I've created an Owner Mailing List. I may do a weekly newsletter of sorts for owners, or I may only mail out when something awesome is going on. I'm not sure yet, but if you want to be on the list subscribe here. I'm sure most owners won't join it, so it could be useful when I do things like the reports above to get feedback before widely publicizing it. There were many owners getting free copies for a while. Just make sure you put in your exchange name or domain so I know who you are ;-)

Hi Tim,
I’m a little confused about the report. What makes the owner report so different from the reports on Traffic Exchange List?
It sounds like they both rank the exchanges so what is the biggest difference?
If you could explain more in detail why owners need this report over the reports from Traffic Exchange List I’ll think about joining as I’m a new TE owner myself, but just would like to know more about it.
Thanks,
Chris
It analyzes the surfers on your exchange and the surfers on their exchange and compares.
So the exchange at the top of the list is the exchange with the most surfers NOT surfing your exchange.
Example: this week Hit2Hit is #2 on the report for StartXchange, but it’s ranked #4 on the list. Web Biz Insider is #7 on my list, but ranked #28.
The reports are targetted to your specific exchange, so they are more accurate to what you are doing. Note that you must be listed on Traffic Exchange List and must be ranked on the most recent report ;-)
This is an impressive list of resources for TE site owners.
Can you post something similar for user of TE.
Thanks,
Chris
G’day Tim,
Looking forward to see what you have to say in the Owner Mailing List.
I use the Hits Connect Site scanner but will look at Te Toolbox one.
Being a member at Traffic Exchange List I have found it a great resource and believe any Traffic Exchange operator or TE user should use it.
As always an informative and interesting post Tim.
You are a credit to the TE Industry.
Regard’s

Oooh, the Owner Mailing List idea rocks and I just signed up! Look forward to it.
The Owner’s Report is super duper mega awesome. I haven’t really tackled the task of putting those statistics into practice yet (it’s on my February to-do list) but I know once I really get a groove on with it and a routine, it’ll be something easy to implement every week. And just looking over it weekly has already been an eye-opener.
Now when I get my SSS I’ll feel all complete! (John said when you looked at our/my custom LJ you said “Hmm this might take a while”, so I know why it hasn’t been installed yet now LOL) :-)
WTG, Tim
The TE Toolbox site checker has been awesome so far and I just signed up to the owner’s list today.
Thanks for all the cool stuff you’re doing for this community :)
