Well this past week we launched Sweeva, and it's been amazing to say the least. As I write this we are now at 3,483 members and climbing! Really really super excited.
It started back in November when I Skype'd Jon Olson and asked him if he wanted to launch a traffic exchange. I had a really simple idea, and that Skype conversation started a firestorm of ideas. But we were literally in the middle of launching TEtoolbox so it had to wait.
One thing we knew immediately, it had to have a cool name. And luckily for us I had a domain laying around, Sweeva.com. Originally it was going to be a review site, reviews spelt backwards with a Rhode Island accent: sweiver (RI'ers drop the er and add an a). Little did I know that it'd become such a cool site.
Well after months of getting really excited about the ideas we realized it'd be nice to have an extra programmer on board. Our ideas were so different that a normal script wouldn't work. Then back in January Thumbvu was launched, and Austin posted in NMF he was looking for work. Perfect timing.
The skype message that followed was hilarious. Jon and I tried to get Austin to commit to building this site with us for a monthly fee and without knowing any details on the site. He managed to convince us that he was in but for 1/3 share. But he still didn't know what it was.
Then the rest is history.. The combination of Jon, Austin, and I just blew this site up better than we imagined. It was awesome working with Austin, especially because he worked till 4AM and I got to get to bed at 9PM. Hey, when you've got 2 little girls waking you up at 5AM you go to bed early.
Launch was amazingly smooth and we had some really awesome support from Logiscape (that was a surprise!), Matthew Graves (huuuuge promoter), Darren Olander (he even did a video) and tons more!
We've also found some really funny splash pages, this one got a Gold Trophy, and this one got a Silver Trophy!
So THANK YOU to everyone who helped in the launch. All of you who've promoted Sweeva, whether you were a JV or a regular guy, mailing to your list or adding to our Twitter storm (search for Sweeva, WOW!), or even just browsing sites on Sweeva and giving owners feedback on their sites.. It's been amazing and I'm super excited for what's in store!

It’s been a blast bro. Great stuff and it’s been a honor to work with Austin and yourself. And yes, the JV team was amazing. Those guys have been kicking butt during the past 48 hours and I look forward to huge things for Sweeva!
It’s getting awfully addictive mighty quick, that’s for sure! :-)
Now that I’ve had time to sit down and play with it since the site opened up to the public, I’ve got a dozen questions… I’ll save them for TE Live tho :-)
Ouch, I’ve been dissed… lol
Don’t worry Carl we saw everyone was pushing hard, just picked a few to mention without making it an even huger post =P
thank you guys for the FUN new TE… You all ROCK!
Now how long before i get to level 251,124??? lol
loving it man

It’s been a pleasure!
I absolutley will never kiss up and disagree with some of what you do- but will give credit where it is due.
Sweeva is a great idea-needs some control on all the BS advertisng and some tweeking here and there but is a hit- no doubt about it.
I love the ability to have pages critiqued- so far it as proven very helpful-everything I had praised brings me almost no conversions, the pages people poked holes in convert like crazy.
Proves to me what I have always known-thanks for the chance to have ideas validated!
Congrats Tim! Can’t say I’m surprised though.. after seeing Sweeva I knew it would be a hit – Great work!
Congrats to Tim and crew! Sweeva is soooo addictive! Trying to figure out how to juggle it with Startxchange, I Love Hits, Thumbvu, Traffic Pro X and all my favorite TE’s as well (sigh).
Thanks,

Congrats Tim!
The excitement is contagious and catching on quickly.
If you do nothing else with Sweeva, use it to test your ads. The feedback is great and the site is addicting.
The few times I have shown my ads, I have added subscribers… I still wonder about the one comment I received that questioned why I wanted their email address in exchange for a $97 piece of software… If you’re not building a list through your TE ads, you’re wasting your credits… Guess they’re still promoting long sales letters with their credits.
Great site Jon, Tim and Austin!
Hey Tim, congrats to you and your partners for the awesome Sweeva! Yes the name is fantastic and it sounds to me like a girl’s name.
I like the simple and clean design too. One can manage everything with a simplicity and ease.
All the best Ivan Golemdzhiyski
Hi Tim,
Sweeva is GREAT!! have been getting sign ups even though some comments said they had seen my pages too much!!
Hi Tim
This is the shot in the arm that the TE Industry needed.
Tired old cynics like me actually enjoyed themselves for a change.
The potential of Sweeva is huge and I look forward to seeing people experiment with the concept and try to go beyond the norm.
I think that maybe the concept would benefit from a longer timer counter to encourage people to submit more than the average TE Splash page to enable more networking re sites- but that’s just my opinion.
Hi Tim,
I signed two days ago and yesterday already had one refferal. I love the idea. Cheers, Maria
I think what you guys did to bring in the “social” aspect of surfing is brilliant. I am also adding some tools for my exchange members as well as the trend is just to large to ignore.
Best of luck,

Sweeva is a really COOL site! But did you know that there is a song out there called “Fomp Sweeva” by a group called iOTA? Was doing a search and saw a link to it on last.fm!
