Information from TE List 3

There has been misinformation about Traffic Exchange List being sent out to other owners of other exchanges. Whether on purpose or a mistake, it’s done in a light that makes our company look bad.

To clarify this is the information that we provide on Traffic Exchange List:

  • The total number of hits tracked
  • The total number of unique people tracked
  • The alexa ranking for the domain
  • The number of people entering their ID into the TEList Downline Builder
  • The % of the entire TE Industry this exchange reaches

We collect social information like thumbs up and down, but that is not used in our reports. We do not collect information like new members joined to an exchange.

Essentially, all the information you see on the Reports and List is what we track. That’s it. It is entirely automatic and so the rankings fluctuate. We do not modify them in any way. That is why you’ll see our own exchanges fluctuate and not all of them are even in the Top 10.

These stats should be used as a starting point for new members, not as a Golden Rule. For owners it should be used as a casual mark of how your exchange is doing. If it keeps climbing that’s a good thing, if it keeps dropping there could be a problem.

I personally like to check now and then and just see if there are any exchanges that have climbed up dramatically and check them out. Just because an exchange is up or down doesn’t reflect how much business I do with them. With so many exchanges I use the list more to find out about exchanges I’m not currently using that maybe I should!

I didn’t know there was an issue with the content and information you deliver! Its always made great business sense to me! All information should be used as guidelines and not BIBLES! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

TE List, use about monthly to see how other TX’s I belong to are performing
No worry about owners or stats .
I judge by owners’ integrity 1st, then all else next. (customer care, frame breaker control etc)
When I leave any it’s on my own judgement and nobody elses

It’s pretty obvious on the site what data you collect. I don’t know why people would think it is anything else.

Perhaps they are confused by what they are seeing and instead of asking what something means, they just assume what it means (and they are wrong). My guess would be that they are assuming that the % change has to do with the % change in the number of surfers. Otherwise, I have no idea how anyone could possibly interpret the data provided as giving the number of new members to an exchange.

Oh well…as Einstein said…only genius has its limits…
