My thoughts on Safelists and Listbuilders
Yesterday Mike and Bill launched List Building Maximizer, a new list builder. I haven’t spent much time on list builders before, I’ve been too busy running my own programs to be honest.
But since there was this new launch, I decided to check a few I’ve joined in the past and see what the whole concept was. It’s remarkably like traffic exchanges.
The main difference is rather than going to the site to view other sites, you get emails. And rather then spending credits for a view, you spend them for an email.
It gets even more interesting because you earn more than a credit for every email link you click on. So it’s actually more than a 1:1 credit ratio. But then it’s not guaranteed that your email link will get clicked. But since you can earn more credits for clicking the link, I would think people are clicking them all.
Well these guys have been in the business for a while, so they wanted to create one with some exciting features. One of them I was so close to getting yesturday.. It’s an email which has a link that only ONE person can claim. It’s kinda like a race to click it. Obviously people are using it because 30 minutes later I was told I wasn’t the one ;-)
Anyways, I’ve wanted to check them out more in depth for a while and I’m kinda using this as the reason. A new list builder is a new reason to use them right? So I’m going to start tracking on them and posting those results too. Will be interesting!

I get confused as to why people call them 2 different things.
Some people call them safelists, and others call them listbuilders. Point being they pretty much both do the same thing.
For example list builder maximizer using the same script 90% of the other safelists use but they call it a list builder?
I think list builder sounds better then safelist as the term safelist has gotten trashed over years, but people need to know they are still the same.

I use both and I am forcing myself to slow down on joining everything that comes out.
As you say-they function the same-so I add them at my own pace.
the email which has a link that only ONE person can claim, is unique twist on using a safelist…otherwise it still just another safelist with generous credit membership options.
I have been using safelists for some time and not all businesses do well for safelists and some do quite well.
This new breed of “safelist” is often called a text ad exchange. They tend to be more responsive because they are advertised heavily within the “traffic exchange” community and less heavily on traditional “safelist” places which, often, garner really crappy sign-ups.
The Listbuildingmaximizer site and script are a notch above, in my opinion, those of the dime-a-dozen text ad exchanges that are promoted in the TEs. It has a nice downline builder and a promotional link showing the contents of the downline builder, which is nice.
It doesn’t offer HTML formatting capability at the free level (a nice perk for paid members, and one included free with the passel of other text ad exchanges I was referring to above), nor does it have the variety of ad display choices.
Listbuildingmaximizer looks “quality” and is operated by reputable folks. I think you’re going to see it added to a lot of your other downline builders, so it would be good to jump on board and get a head start!
I’m betting that it will be well monitored as far as the type of messages sent and the programs and sites allowed for promotion.
At least you can mail as a free member with no referrals! That’s a biggie.

I Run and Own a few Text Ad Exchanges. They have become a huge deal. My biggest site has over 2000 Members, Anybody that signs up can send a Solo Email to Each member for Free, Members earn Points and Some times a little money to read the ads.
I do Check each Ad. I do my best to run a clean site.
Safelist Just sends ads, as soon as they post they are send. I know some Sends thousands a day. Text ads Exchanges mostly send about 1 Perhour. So it makes a little different.
I am doing just like you, Spending Time Building my sites, I do miss surfing. I love to look at the ads. (My 3 year old sits on my knee and looks at the ads with me, I think it is a great way to spend time teach her different shapes and stuff) But looking at the sites and checking out the new Hooks is great for learning!

Ok I see Safelists and List builders as the same, As you. They are very close. Text Ad Sites Are Very different.
Text Ad Sites offer Solo ads, Super Solos Ads, (are emails send to a group of sites) Super Cash Solo Ads, Cash Solo Ads, Banner Ads, Like Safelist, But also offer Traffic links, HTML ads, button Banner Ads, and more, I think One site has 40 different ways to have a ad Seen, It is a bit much, I feel.
I have yet to see any of the safelists or text sites as big as you and as big as some of the Other TE that have been a out for a while, but Text sites are new, and yes a lot of people see them as safelists.
I looked at List Building Max, I see it as a safelist. I just dont join many of them as It floods my mailbox, AS I said I have seen some send 1000s of emails a day.
I also have seen something new, a few sites also have installed a Surf site with in the text site, you have the best of both worlds. I picked up a surf script maybe 6 months back, and have trying to do the same, just got beat to the punch on this one.

I have not used a list builder for a long time. the ones I have used in the past have only allowed you to mail your own downline.
That means using up all your credits in everything else to advertise your link.
Seems pointless to me when I need to do my own advertising.
I use ad exchanges a lot I just removed a site from yours because it was doing nothing yet I was signing up about 6 a day on the ad exchanges.
Some things work on safelists some on ad exchanges and some on TEs it’s just a matter of finding out which.
Of course with all it does matter which Ad exchange or safelist the same as only the best TE will do.
They all give you the impression they are building your list when in fact your name and email are now on their list.The “safe list” owners all have at least 10 other biz that they use their “safelist” to invite people to join. I only like one and upgraded to the $20 one.AAA is my rating for it. 95,000 members.
