Interview with Tom Bobrick

1) How and when did your online business get started?

I first started online about 4-5 years ago as a paid to surf hopeful and paid to read email side worker ha ha, after a while i got into writing html and starting turnkey and adsense sites and exchanges about 3 years ago. My current primary site Surfnexus.com was launched April 1st 2007.

3) Do you currently work exclusively online?

No i do patent and trademark illustration and cad work for a patent Esq. I also do allot of general freelance art and signage for local businesses

4) How many hours per day do you spend on your exchange(s)?

2-5 usually, but at times the entire day.

5) Do you do support yourself, or do you outsource support?

I do it all my self, Only thing i outsource is programming and integrating PHP/SQL, I have a few of my friends online surf daily and report any bad sites.

6) How fluent are you with HTML, javascript, and PHP?

All the way up to where I cant quite write scripts :), Im fluent in html know a little java and am able to heavily modify and change the look, placement and functioning of existing scripts.

7) Approximately how many members join your exchange a month?

Currently we are at about 150-250

8) Does most of your advertising come from members referring, or you?

Mostly my own ads.

9) Are you subscribed to any blogs? Which is your favorite?

I dont really do much with blogs. I read them from time to time.

10) What would be the biggest tip you could give to readers?

Just keep at it, most importantly keep moving up in your understanding of how these advertising systems work all the way down to the code and management standpoints, Grow your network of people or list of who you know in this field to cooperate with, the more you know and learn the more it seems to all come together.
