Interview with Ed Tyner

1) How and when did your online business get started?
I came online November 1999 and jumped right into affiliate marketing. I only did affiliate marketing up until May 2007 when I launched RoadRunner Surf.
2) Which exchange(s) do you own or co-own?
I own RoadRunner Surf and co - owner of an upcoming traffic exchange with Ryan Hogan. Name is a secret right now.
3) Do you currently work exclusively online?
Yes I do work full time online. I work on small engines for fun still, when I have the spare time.
4) How many hours per day do you spend on your exchange(s)?
I spend between 10-18 hours a day
5) Do you do support yourself, or do you outsource support?
I do all support work myself, but will be looking to outsource support in the near future.
6) How fluent are you with HTML, javascript, and PHP?
I’m pretty good with html, and know the basics of javascript and php.
7) Approximately how many members join your exchange a month?
Between 80 and 100 a month have been joining.
8) Does most of your advertising come from members referring, or you?
I spend a good deal of money buying advertising, but I also have some great members who promote RoadRunner Surf.
9) Are you subscribed to any blogs? Which is your favorite?
I’m subscribed to Hitexchange News, since it is now a blog. I would have to say Hitexchange News is my favorite.
10) What would be the biggest tip you could give to readers?
Network! Get yourself known so others will want to do business with you.

Great interview, Tim I too enjoyed the “hours spent” question and answer. Just goes to show that those who are “making it” online aren’t logging into their PayPal account and “watching the money pour in” - they are WORKING!
