West Wing Marathon

Marine One in Newport RI

The West Wing was my favorite TV show. I liked the fast pace footage and the drama that goes on. Well after seeing the drama live when President Bush visited Rhode Island I am ready for the West Wing Marathon! What my friends and I will be doing is watching every episode during July and August.

While we weren't close enough to get any photos of The President himself, we did get some pretty cool photos of his helicopters (5 total - 2 "Presidential" and 3 "Support") taking off from Newport's Navy Base. The photo above is Marine One (or is it 1) with President Bush inside, and right below it one of the support helicopters. The support ones did some crazy take offs and flew very close over us. There was some intense wind.

Anyways it was exciting after figuring out how to get in to the base and where he was, to see the motorcade come in and them all take off. You may be wondering if this marathon will negatively impact my work load. Well I don't believe so. One thing about the fast pace show is it gets me into a productive mood. Pretty cool.

I wouldn’t think they’d let any visitors on base during something like that. lol

It looks like you weren’t too far away from the helicopters either.
