Two Computers - What to do?

I have a laptop, and I have a desktop. The desktop has two monitors, which makes multi-tasking very easy. The laptop is portable, which makes moving around very easy. The problem is where do I keep the files. I can't keep my desktop on all day and remotely connect. So now that I am on my laptop - how do I easily edit websites I was working on yesturday on my desktop? If only I could edit the files directly off the server. But how? I'll keep searching.

Time to eat some hard steamed eggs.
