Split Testing In Action

So you hear everyone say track track track, so want some real life examples? Well I'll give you an example of real life splash pages I used and tested.

Which page do you think performs better? Well the second one outperforms the first by 70%. Now if I didn't track the results how would I know it was that big of a difference one line of text and some highlighting makes? That might be obvious, but what about these two:

The difference is just three words being highlighted. A simple thing like that increased clicks by 33%. I wouldn't have known that if I didn't track it.

The point is this: Tracking works, and it shows you what works better. 33% of StartXchange is 5032 members. Over time, a small increase of clicks can really make a difference!
