Peer-to-Peer Website Marketing

by Tim on April 9, 2007

I was talking to a businessman I know, and was explaining the concept of traffic exchanges. The next day he came back to me and said something along the lines of "So it's basically peer-to-peer website marketing".

Wow I thought. I think it sounds better than "traffic exchanges" when I tell people what I do, and it's a bit more specific. In the traffic exchange world, people instantly know what a manual traffic exchange is. But outside they don't.

I'll be using the term peer-to-peer website marketing from now on, and I'll be looking at how I can integrate it into StartXchange better.

That certainly does sound more professional even. Very nice, I sense a re-branding coming on. Go Tim!

Hi Tim,

I hope you don’t mind if several other members of the industry start following your lead. since I heard about your comment, I’ve been seriously considering it…

I believe it was Jon Olson who first commented on your post in HEN, and quite possibly in his I Love Hits Newsletter. Word will start getting around… :)
