PDA Acting Up

by Tim on January 14, 2005

Lately my PDA hasn't been working, and I thought the battery was dead and plugged it in. However it wasn't seeming to charge. I thought maybe the charger plug was broken, so I plugged it into the USB on my computer. You see I found out the USB also charges it because I left it plugged in one day, and then I was like oh no the battery was about to die. I looked at it, and it was half way charged. I think it charges much slower, but still it charges.

So I plugged it into the USB, and sometime yesturday I think it was, I heard the noise windows makes when something is plugged into the USB. I pressed the power button on my PDA, and it turned on. But then it said low battery and turned off again. So later I tried it again, but I also plugged it into the wall plug, and it showed the charging icon.

So now it is fully charged, and still plugged in. I forget to charge it alot, same with my phone. I was thinking about creating a box that had all the plugs and such sticking out, that I could just insert my phone, pda, camera, keys, walet, etc into whenever I come back from being out, then all the electronics would get charged and photos downloaded, pda backed up, etc so when I leave I just take it all again. I carry alot in my pockets.

Oh and the cool thing is when I turned it on, it lost everything, but last time I used the PDA I was installing a new program, so it backed everything up while doing that. So when I plugged it in yesturday it re-downloaded everything. They really thought things through with the linking to the computer, probably because they knew the memory would erase after the battery completely drained.
