Not Appreciated

by Tim on January 12, 2005

Its clear to me that what I do is not appreciated by my mother. She thinks I'm lazy and when I said to her "You don't appreciate what I do" she responded "How much have you saved since you got back?".

People don't understand starting businesses. You don't make a but load of money right away. Every month I do better than the last, but I'm not going to all of a sudden be a millionair.

In the past you’ve also had very little progress. I’d say all the progress you’ve made with programming within the last year happened within the last week. Seriously, I am excited to see that you finally are just sticking to it and not giving up on every error. You are on the road to being a good programmer. You have a much better memory than me, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you became one of those guys who can program in every language known to man. But before you get there, you need to be committed to God, committed to making progress daily, and you need an income. I am making an income at programming and my online sites, but before I did I had an offline job.
