This is funny that you brought this up again Tim.
I too did some testing this past weekend and although I cannot find the button fast enough or want to destroy the machine when I get one that I cannot turn off, I realized the same results. They do get clicks.and More of them.
So, I have set up my surfing time in the a.m to be without sound as I cannot deal with the loud and obnoxious but hey, It is NOT about me……..(shame though as I sometimes think that the world should revolve around my needs..lol) It is about getting sign ups to my ventures, so have at it. We all are here to get sign ups, so whatever works..eh?
I also put start Xchange back into my surfing rotation this weekend after a long hiatus, just cannot surf them all…..still picked up the monthly credit deal, you cannot beat that one!

Yeah exactly.. I find TV commercials annoying but that doesn’t mean they don’t work. So sometimes we have to go to the “dark side” and do annoying things to make sales =P
Although so many people, myself included, find auto-playing audio extremely annoying and distracting, my testing also shows they generate more signups.
I have no idea why this is, unless it’s because it’s only the anti-audio people who talk about it – those who like audio are too busy signing up to chat about the merits of audio!

Hiya Tim when I come across a page with a video I just wait on timer to run down then I click for next page otherwise I do not buy anything from video advertising as a matter of fact if I get an e mail with the word video in the subject I delete without even reading the e mail

I don’t have a TV.
