Introduce Yourself

I saw this on another blog and liked it. I know there are a decent amount of people subscribing to my blog, so it’ll be interesting to see.

This is the page where you get to introduce yourself, and what you do. I’m encouraging you to enter your blog URL so I can check it out!

There is a catch! If you introduce yourself, you better be a subscriber! It’s simple, you can use your RSS reader or enter your name and email to the right on the form.

    Hi Tim,

As you probably know already, my name is Jens and I live in Norway. I have been a subsriber to your blog for a while.

    Thanks for a great blog!

    Great idea!

My name is Jenni and I live in Macomb, MI. I surf to promote my business, Cozmic Fuzion. For now Cozmic Fuzion focuses mainly on hemp jewelry. I have many idea’s for expanding far beyond jewelry in the future. For now I am giving it my all to make the jewelry line a success. I find the traffic exchanges to be my most affective form of advertising. I am sure more small business owners would agree if the opportunity was made known to them.

Yes, thank you for all of the hard work that you put into your exchange and blog. It is definately easy to see your dedication.

    Hey Tim,

Love this idea. Love StartXchange. Love Traffic Exchanges!

And I love what Jenni says above about more small business owners using traffic exchanges. I am certain Jenni is absolutely right!

This is why my blog spills the beans with Traffic Exchange Secrets, Stories and Surprises!

So, as for me? Well, I’m now 42 and I live a mile away from the most Easterly point of the UK. I’ve been successful in other businesses but I only started online last year and started my own traffic exchanges just two weeks ago.

And guess what? I’m loving it!

Cheers for StartXchange too Tim. I love my dolphins at traffic-splash.com but besides that, StartXchange is probably now my fave exchange. You have so many effective and unique features and no other exchange delivers faster for me.

    Cheers,
    Paul

    Hello Tim,

My name is Bonnie and I am a stormspotter in Oklahoma which is pretty obvious from my .org page. I have been doing this for about 9 years. You can read my experience with an F5 tornado in my blog. Also, there are a lot of weather related articles listed along with links to other weather info and my online store.

I have been a member of Startxchange for a few months. It is obvious you are on top of things. Thank you for all your help and the good work you are doing.

    Thanks, also, for the blog.

    Smiles,
    Bonnie

Maybe starting a new social network here? The more personal the level the better, I think.

    Hi
My name is Tim and Im from Middlesbrough in the UK
I have had several business on the internet for the last couple of years

The one thing I have learnt above all others is that a few hits a day from high quality traffic sources e.g. Google/Yahoo/MSN is of far greater value than thousands and thousands of junk hits, where few people if anyone is looking at your pages

When I started out online, I joined various MLM style affiliate programs. They introduced me to the world of traffic exchanges, and suggested that I spend hour after hour surfing like a madman. It didn’t take long to discover that this approach, while generating thousands of hits, was unlikely to return much in the way of sales - in fact it never sold anything

Fortunately, I had already started my own website, based on my hobby of horse racing, and my own particular skill as a tipster in producing 50% winners on my selections. I managed to get some good listings on the Search Engines and links on other similar sites. Even though the traffic coming to the site was only 40 or 50 hits a day, I was making sales of my recurring subscription, with extra people joining every month

What this taught me, was that anyone can be successful online, and that just a few visitors a day, with a rolling subscription fee system, and a unique product, is a business model that really works

StartXchange in my book is one of the very best traffic exchanges available online. Throughout all the problems of bad sites introduced with hidden frames and other extremely bad content/ viruses etc, StartXchange has rarely if ever cused problems for me or my computer. Equally it has not followed the craze to reduce the timer to the point that the traffic is almost completely pointless i.e. it has kept its timer at 15 seconds. There are also lots of people surfing everyday, which I believe is important in generating the best quality hits from a traffic exchange. For these an other reasons I have used StartXchange for several years and can warmly recommend it to anyone

  16. See my profile on MyBlogLog.com! John Dilbeck Says:

    Hi Tim,

This “Introduce Yourself” page is a great idea. I may add that to one of my blogs.

I’m an old dinosaur of a computer programmer, analyst, consultant and professor who totally burned out on computers after 25 years in the business.

I “retired” and took up a family tradition: blacksmithing. For at least the last 200 years, there has been one or more blacksmiths in the Dilbeck family and I was fortunate to learn from my Dad back when I was a teenager about 40 years ago.

I love arms and armor and took up making chainmaile and steel roses. You can see some of my work at http://TheRoseThatNeverWilts.com , but I am not able to make nor sell them at this time.

My Mom went through a serious bout of colon cancer about five years ago and, after her surgery, was left with nerve damage and was unable to care for herself, so I chose to bring her back home and become her full-time caretaker. As a result, I spend all of my time in the house where I’ll be available and can no longer get up to the smithy to smite good steel.

After my savings ran out, I had to find a way to earn a living and stay at home all the time, too. I discovered affiliate marketing and I’ve been working almost five years in this interesting, confusing, and profitable field.

I think I’ve made all the mistakes, but, now that I know better, I’m making the necessary changes and my income continues to grow.

I discovered traffic exchanges about a year ago and they have become a very important part of my marketing strategy.

I’m relatively new to StartXchange, but I like it and try to make use of it as often as I can.

I look forward to following your blog and the forum. Thanks for all you are doing.

    Act on your dream!

    JD

Introduce myself…. for that I’d have to know me right? And to know me is to….. well we all know that one. Hi, My name is Camille but I am more widely known as Cat, the “curios” one. And yep, I am curious about anything and everything. Like why more submitters (not here, mind you, submitters in general) than ever seem to send out their messages, blogs, written script with blatant spelling errors? Canadians some times take liberty with spelling certain words, I admit, but let’s face it “firends” is not a variation, it is a mistake. More on this once you get to know me!
A personal introduction is possible, all you have to do is find me, lol. I market, I surf, I play poker(currently at partypoker under curioscat), I surf, I dabble at poetry, I surf, I quill, I surf, but I don’t chat and surf as both events take my full attention. I read my emails, I surf, I type ad nausea and I surf. So, look around the waves, I’ll be surfing, at one of my many sites StartXchange included.
I look forward to the opportunity to share with one and all. Curiously enough, I’d like to get to know you!

    Camille

  19. See my profile on MyBlogLog.com! Alan Bleiweiss Says:

    Hi everyone!

My name is Alan Bleiweiss -but if you read my name above this text then you already guessed that I suppose! hahaha

Anyhow I have twelve and a half years of internet consulting experience helping small business owners compete in the digital age, though I’ve managed my share of multi-million dollar web sites as well.

What I am passionate about though really is empowering people - helping them learn what they need to learn in order to succeed. So when it comes to the web, with my primary client focus being search engine optimization and search marketing, I’ve just started a new blog - where I’m essentially taking the fundamentals of SEO and SEM and just posting it to the blog.

I’m doing this in the hopes that small business owners - people who might not be able to afford the $5,000 or $10,000 I normally charge for the full-bore high end work I do - can learn from my experience and at least get a jump on the process of getting ranked at Google or can work toward improving their search ranking.

What really motivated me was reading so many other SEO blogs where people don’t want to give away their “secrets” or where they give the basics but don’t really dig deep into the ins and outs or the caveats, unless you’re willing to pay for their books or attend their $2,000 seminar…

So we’ll see how it goes. If nothing else, as long as somebody eventually finds value in my blog, then it will have been worthwhile.

Soooooooooooo….. Beyond that, I’m a wanderer - I’ve driven across the U.S. seven times - all the way across…. And live in Marin County, California right now. Not your typical geek - I’ve been into meditation for over twenty years, and I really enjoy being around other people! hahahaha

Well, here’s to you Tim - you’ve got a great site and really go a long way toward helping others - so kudos!

PS - all you small business owners - check out my blog - http://www.search-marketing-answers.com/blog/ It’s brand new but there’s already some great fundamental info there.
