Cutting Costs - Not Locally

It is time to cut some costs. We all know gas prices have risen up, and soon everything else will too. However, I think it is important that we only cut some costs and not all costs. There are many small businesses, even sole proprietorships like myself, that can easily die if we cut those costs. So while I cut the cost of my netflix subscription, I still am going to try to goto the local coffee shop like I used to. Maybe not as frequently, but if we cut out everything, then the ripple effect will set in. And I hope my clients do the same for me. That is, still proceding with a project they wanted me to work on. Afterall, if they don’t then I won’t be able to make ends meet. Then I’ll have to cut all costs that aren’t neccessary, which means the local businesses like coffee shops that we all enjoy occasionally - they’ll lose out too. Then the people and places they buy from will lose money too, and start cutting costs. And the ripple effect will set in. Everyone will raise prices and cut costs to make ends meet.

As for me - I plan on watching my spending more carefully, and trying to work more and harder if I am in the red. So maybe I’ll have to expand to other areas.
