Comment Spam.. Coming Soon?

I’ve just finished reading some ideas this guy Andrew posted on his website about how to blog comment spam. It has made me begin wondering if I’ll have to worry about comment spam soon.

I found his site on this Pub Sub page that lists recent posts about subscriptions you make. One of the popular ones on the front page was Comment Spam. I think I’m going to read up on it, but I’m wondering if I just prevent URLs from being posted in comments altogether, if it would prevent spam? I wonder if there is a plugin for MT that has one of those text images you have to type in to post.

Great, I kept on reading down the subscription page and he posted about TrackBack Spam. I like trackbacks and don’t want to disable those.. Maybe someone has found a fix? I’m surprised that the no-archive HTML tag hasn’t stopped them.. Speaking of which, I know MT has a plugin for that. Maybe that’s what I should use too. I think I might take a stroll over to their site and find some plugins.
