Cleaning the Office, Day 2
Well after talking about the time management things I decided maybe it’s time to clean the office. I know I’m way more productive when the office is clean, and after yesturday and today I can say it’s almost clean. I’m shocked at how much junk has piled up. I’ve got enough PC parts for 3 computers, and I’m finally going to get rid of them.
I’ve also got stacks and stacks of books. I’m not like Jon Olson who says he tries to read a book a week or something like that. Instead I buy these books and don’t read them. LOL But maybe now that the office will be clean I might actually try to read them.
Anyways, while I’m cleaning the office why don’t YOU think of a question to ask me. Right now there are 13 suggestions on the ask page, and your question could be next! Be as specific as you want to, and vote for the questions you want answered as well. I might just answer them all with a clean and productive office!
Oh and something else to clean up.. Hey did you notice you can advertise on my blog now? For $30 you can have your banner rotated on the sidebar. Great for branding! There are 12 banners rotating in 6 spots. I think there are 3 banners available so hurry up while you still can.

Sheeesh! Stop blogging already and get back to cleaning.. lol.
wow – quick reply, are you stalking me?
hmm.. remember that teddy bear you got for valentines day – from that mysterious valentiney person? Well.. look deep into his eyes… hehe.. (kidding!!! – REALLY!)
And don’t forget to dust! :)
Why don’t you give away some of the books you don’t have time to read? Have a contest for them or something?

how about sending some of your ambition my way??????????
enough parts for 3 computers??? WOW!!!! start building!!……..LOL
Kinda like the idea of a contest. You could run one at StarXChange. I can always use another one to add to my collestion of unread books, lol.
I’m sure that my wife would appreciate me cleaning my office, but the last time I did; I couldn’t find anything for weeks…LOL
If I cleaned my office I’d never be able to find anything! “Organized clutter” is what I call it. ;)
I hear ya’ about those unread books. I used to do the “book a week” thing too, but now I have so many I’ll probably never get to read them in my lifetime. Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t surf as much…. :P
I consider my office clutter an affordable security measure. If unscrupulous characters ever wanted to snoop around in here they’d have one look and run screaming.
I certainly can understand about books. I download ones I think are very interesting, plus buy them.
My office looks like it needs a good cleaning. Maybe you have inspired me to get moving and clean it. But like some have said, I won’t be able to find anything.
OK OK you have given me some inspiration, my organised mess needs a clean up also!!! Now it looks more like a mess than an organised mess. Time to let the wifey in to do her thing LOL
(Don’t tell her I said that!!)

LOL well what I ended up doing is buying a second desk to put more clutter on, I mean important documents =P Looks nice, still not perfect but it’s alot closer to being clean and staying clean this way. I like BIG desks so I can have everything I use ready to pick up.
:) got a cpu fan for a dying computer?
Must be at least 6 years old lol!
Looks like I started something!! I’m on vacation next week, so, guess what? CLEANING time!!!
I agree with Jamison – one look at my office and the would-be thieves would give up and run away!!
Keep up the good work!

Hey Tim, I have a cure for the clutter,
I just throw all the bills away and no more clutter! Only problem is it builds back up every day! Have a nice one,

I don’t even want to think about cleaning my office. I would probably have to rent a back hoe. I have 3 desks, 2 file cabinets and 4 bookcases all for computer related stuff. I have my main computer, back up computer and back up to the backup computer and monitors to go with all of them.
I have software I bought and never opened. I have computer books some still in the plastic. I have brand new spare cordless laser mice and unopened Microsoft and Logitech wireless keyboards and mouse combo’s. I have networking supplies unopened and opened wireless and not. I have about every size of speaker systems you can imagine from 2 amplified regular computer speakers right up to the top of the line Logitech X-230 2.1 Speakers System that I have been meaning to open since my birthday in Sept.
I have spare parts I will probably never use and all sizes of hard drives, cd drives, dvd drives, cdr’s dvdr’s about every pc camera ever made most unopened, I have all kinds of headsets, Voip phones, then there are the printers, some unopened inkjet, Laser, 3 in 1, 4 in 1, fax machines, cell phones, don’t even let me start on all the different kinds of Digital Camera’s and camcorders. I could go on and on.
That doesn’t begin to cover what I have in my basement. I’ll get around to cleaning it one day. Believe it or not it is sorta kinda organized. I’ve been telling myself for the last year or so I was going to sell a bunch of it on eBay but I don’t have enough time to do everything now.
When my friends and family ask what I want for Christmas and my birthday I always tell them to buy something for my computer. And they do!
Just for the heck of it I just counted the unopened PC camera’s I have in my office, Logitech, Labtec, and some others a few that cost in the hundreds of dollars and I have 21 I haven’t opened yet. I already use the best PC Camera Logitech makes the QuickCam Orbit MP Webcam. I have Pro 9000’s, 7000’s 4000’s not even opened.
Clean my office are you kidding me……
Great topic.
You are very inspirational ~ I need to get busy and begin
