Check out my Customized Theme

I customized the old theme on the blog. It is not enabled by default (yet). To see it, on the right menu select the 3 column theme.

The photo in the theme I took fairly recently. It’s of Narragansett Beach in Rhode Island. Apparently a recent storm knocked down a big fence that used to seperate the parking lot from the beach. Well people built sculptures out of rocks. Someone told me about this so I had to go down there and check it out. Glad I did.

So what are your thoughts on it? My wife says it’s too much for her. I like the photo, because I can change it later (or even make it random). And I like the 3 column aspect.

One note.. I will at some point have a photo of me above the subscribe via email thing. I want to take a more recent photo.

So you just made a column for ads? haha :P

It looks the same, just with an ad now. :-/

The new design actually has one less ad than the old design. The main reason for the change was the photo being 900px wide and the old format being like 700, which gave me room for another column ;-)

Ah, if you change the colors around just a bit, it may work out nicely. Right now it just all blends together.

    Hi Tim,

I think the new design is great. The ads blends in with the rest of the contents and that makes it better for your visitors and might get some more clicks for you :-)
