Budget Spreadsheets

Recently in our Adult Bible Fellowship class, Bob has been going over being a good steward of what God has given us, and went over creating a Budget and tracking where your money goes. I’ve taken the sheets he handed out and made them electronic, and I packaged them together so you can download them.

First you’ll need to install Open Office. It is 100% free, and can open Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint files too ;-) To download it goto: OpenOffice.org. Note: You will need the latest version (2.0)

Next you’ll want to download the zip “Budget-Blank.zip” and save it to a folder named “Budget” (create one on your hard drive). Unzip the file (extract) - it should create a folder “Blank”. Now copy the folder “Blank” and rename the copied version to “2005″. Now you’ll have a “Blank” and “2005″ folder.

Finally you’ll want to open the 3 files “Budget” “DailyLedger” and “Scoreboard”. Note: When opening Scoreboard if it asks you a yes or no question, select yes.

Each year you’ll want to make another copy of the “Blank” folder. You’ll be able to keep track over the years (and maybe sometime I’ll make a file you can put in the “Budget” folder to compare the years.
