Bible Studying

Honestly it has been a while since I’ve read my Bible. You see with all the technology, fast paced everything, information at your fingertips.. It has made me think of reading as very boring. I do it all day, but what I do read online is just chunks of things.. I skim over it.

So reading my Bible has become harder than ever before. I find when I do read it, I start thinking about other things as my eyes continue to scan the text. So what I am thinking about doing is starting a Bible Study blog. What I would like to do is daily go through a chapter of the Bible and just read it over a few times, think about it. Read some commentaries about it, and then post my thoughts.

What I would like my fellow beleivers is to keep me accountable. You see by putting it in a blog, you guys can see if I am actually keeping up with it. I have a tendency to get something started, but not continue with it. I think many of us do, which is why I think the Bible talks so much about working with other beleivers and why we should all be accountable. God knows that as humans we aren’t going to do everything right, so having other people to help will at least gives a better start at it ;-)
