Bible Memorization

How high of a priority is Bible Memorization in your life? In Awanas there is a HUGE emphasis on memorization. In fact, kids are memorizing 2-4 verses a week. When is the last time you memorized something?

Psalm 119:11 states “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”

Have you done that? I know I haven’t. Thus I will be putting it into more of a priority in my life. Did you know that a church has Bible Memory packets for the congregation, and the entire congregation is memorizing the verses each week? I was told this was the first time something like this has been done, and I’m not sure it has happened at my Church or not, but such a key part of our lives should be memorizing scripture.
