Back Online

After a week of downtime, I am now back. The transfer of my internet to my new apartment sounded so simple. I should have known it was too good to be true. The guys disconnected me last tuesday at my house, and then came to the apartment and couldn’t figure out where the cable wires went to in the apartment. They tried getting into the basement when it was in a utility closet. The basement was locked, so they left. They didn’t call me and tell me they couldn’t find it, and so wednesday or thursday I called asking why it wasn’t hooked up. Then they said the next available time to get it hooked up was today. They told me also that I had to be at the apartment between 8AM and 8PM.
Well I was organizing papers waiting for them to come, and all of a sudden I saw the cable light on my modem was on. So I ran outside and nobody was there. I tried to get on and this whole setup process wasn’t letting me set it up. So on the phone again I went.
Well the guy in San Diego told me that he needed to transfer me to my area, because for some reason the number that the setup error page told me to call went there. Then after talking to this guy he said he had to move my equipment info to the new location (MAC/IP address). So now I am finally all set.
I am now going to take a shower, because I was waiting for this guy to show up and not be stuck in there.. Afterwards there is a few moving things left to do and then I’ll be playing catch-up on emails, etc. Thanks for being patient!
