What’s all the Rave about Traffic Wave?

If you know me, Jon Olson, Jerry Reader, or many of the “big dogs” in the traffic exchanges you know we’ve been all about Aweber for years. Well recently we’ve been playing with Traffic Wave, and you’ll probably see a big exodus moving over to it.

For a long time Aweber has had the best deliverability compared to any other auto responder so to be honest we didn’t ever look at any other auto responders. I’m all for loyalty so if I’m happy with what I’ve got I tend to not go out of my way to change it.

Well I’m tempted to list all the things I’m unhappy about Aweber, but I think it would detract from the raving of Traffic Wave. So I won’t go there. All that needs to be said is that happiness isn’t there anymore.

A month or so ago I decided to try out Traffic Wave just to test it to see if it was any good. Well I forgot about it and my trial ended, so fast forward to today I paid and played with it.

So far we’ve all been impressed. While there are features that got us going (Jon really liked the simpler website layout), it was the owner, Brian, coming into NMF that made the biggest difference.

You hear it from us all the time, you’ll see it in my blog reviews, it’s the owner that makes the difference. Many times you’ll see differences in services that really on a feature level are very small. It’s how you are treated by the owner that sways your decision one way or the other.

That’s why Jon Olson has already stated he’s done with Aweber. And that’s why I’m starting my new lists there as well. (I’m still debating if I want to switch my blog to it or not, as that’s the only thing Traffic Wave doesn’t have. I’m told they are likely to have it in the future, so I may be willing to login and send a broadcast myself for the time being but not at the moment)

Great thoughts Tim! Just a quick heads up though with TW. I also used Aweber for a while and decided to move away from it. I needed something a little better at actually earning for me.
But, on to the comment. In my own recent playing I was toying with a number of capture pages and the TET rotator and found a little problem that others need to be aware of.
Outside of the rotator, the capture form worked perfectly. In the rotator, (any rotator actually; I tested it on my FET rotator too) their is a scripting error that blocks the message. After talking to support at TW a number I times, I still couldn’t resolve it. It seems that TW doesn’t allow capture forms directly from another server and when I looked at the page html for the rotator page, it had prepended the capture form data. Not sure if there is a fix, but just an FYI in case you use it. I wouldn’t have known, but I was testing all parts of the system before setting it lose. Have a great day, Earle in Houston

Will have to check it out ;-)

      • This particular issue, as I recall, had to do with the form code itself somehow being changed. When we reviewed the actual Rotator URL, the form code URL had somehow been changed.

I don’t have any way of knowing if that was done manually or if the scripting for the rotator itself was the culprit.

But that was the reason for the form code not working within this particular rotator.

Ah yes I remember that now. It was changing the form because we were using a rather strict script that was designed to clean html code from having any nasty stuff in there. Problem was it was so strict it messed with normal things too. It ended up being removed so the problem should no longer be there.

Traffic Wave has certainly stood the test of time. Brian Rooney is a stand up program owner. Why is it like something new???

There are a lot of options other than Aweber, a lot of them much more economical for the regular marketer.

  3. I’ve always wondered why mailings from your blog are always labeled “SPAM” although I’ve whitelisted the address and clicked “this is not SPAM” many times.

Will changing make that pesky problem go away?

  4. Yes, Brian Rooney is a great email marketer, I offer Traffic Wave to my list as well

  5. Several marketers use TrafficWave, both for the fact that it generally offers everything the internet marketer needs due to the ‘Rooney’ input and for the forced matrix compensation plan.

My personal favorite user is Scott Douglas who is the mastermind behind Traffic Exchange Profits. He uses a very soft sell method to get paid signups to TrafficWave.

  6. Oops, forgot to mention you can use your existing TrafficWave account with his system.

  7. Plus with Traffic Wave, there is the opportunity to make money by becoming an affiliate. They pay on 10 levels

  8. I hear you!

I have 1 question… did you move because TW deliver higher % or was it because the Aweber’s attitude towards the TE Industry? … Feel free to post the stats…

I have a few issues as well with Aweber… Not close to what I had with TW before but anyway.

What will happen next launch when 100 people set the same time in TW? Same Delay or are they better then Aweber now?

I’m not a big fan of Matrix, MLM 1st then you talk about the tools…

Ps been in TW almost 2 years lost 1000’s of members last time… If Aweber still have 99% then TW have to be 100% to even think about change….

This will be interesting to see… where it goes.

Because 1 man comes in to a forum means nothing for our email campaigns or results but I like the offer I saw with the help to move the list… WTG Brian

Well as you can see in a comment above, my emails get to the spam bin with Aweber. It’s been happening more and more with Aweber.

I don’t have any hard stats myself about Traffic Wave but so far playing with it I haven’t had those emails going into spam. But I do know that the owner is around and has done things to improve deliverability.

The thing about deliverability is it’s constantly changing. For a while Aweber was on top, but it seems that’s changing. Maybe us constantly talking about it has got the other guys improving it? I dunno

Anyways in the end the attitude coming from the program itself did have a big part in it. They don’t see us as legitimate and talking to them about it has gotten nowhere.

Will be interesting to see where it goes ;-)

  9. The rave about TrafficWave is certainly deserved and although I have nothing bad to say about Aweber there are many reasons why I remain a TrafficWave affiliate and customer:

    1. easy to use
    2. income opportunity
    3. the owner

    and much more…

It’s great to see Brian getting props from the Traffic Exchange community.

  10. Hi,

I’ve been using TrafficWave for a few years now, and I have always had a good experience with them. They were always good, but in the past year or so, they have made numerous great enhancements to the site and added more functionality, so they are even better now!

It’s true that Brian Rooney is a great guy and is always there to help with any questions that I have. Very supportive!

Click on my name above to see my review of their services. :-)

  11. Being easy to use, and therefore teach how to use, was the major reason why switched

You shouldn’t have to spend hours trying to set up an email campaign and you certainly shouldn’t have to pay somebody to do it for you

Traffic Wave is a simple intuitive system that is well with within the means of everybody serious about making money online

Sure, there are Aweber features I am going to miss. However, the main point is to get the email delivered without hassle and Traffic Wave does that in spades

  12. A product i thought i could make some money on. now i’ll have to compete with the BIG DOGS. Oh well i’ve decided to hitch my wagon to yalls so lets get cracking. I believe in the trickle down theory all i need is some crumbs.

    • Tim says:

All it takes is having a relationship with your list. If they like & trust you they’ll sign up under you. Especially since people love to help the “little guy” (but then at some point you’re no longer that little guy hehe)

  13. Gary Wilson says:

I have to say I’ve been with traffic wave for a while now and wouldn’t change. When I first did the trial I was still thinking about changeing but after what I say I decided to stay. to me it’s the best.

  14. Jon Olson says:

Three cheers for Brain Rooney and the entire Traffic Wave team!

Trust me on this, it wasn’t an easy decision. Changing something like an auto responder is a HUGE deal, something I don’t take lightly.

But with this program, it feels right. The owner is very active, he WANTS business from the traffic exchanges, he’s involved in it. Good on him and good on Traffic Wave.

It’s been about 24 hours for me, and so far the experience has been incredible!

  15. Hi Tim,
When I started looking at AutoResponders I went to AWeber first cause all of you used it, I couldn’t afford it. I went to TrafficWave and got a lot of the tools I needed all in one place and can make money at it too! As for learning how to use it, when TTP came out with List Ads i couldn’t use the Code that TrafficWave gave me because it contained JavaScript They worked on it and within Hours I had a Usable Code!!
If the Answer to your Question isn’t in the Training section send a Support Ticket and they will Find an Answer for you and Teach it to You!
Thanks for All the Good Advice

  16. I have only learned of Traffic Wave, over the past few months and most of what I have read seems to come from the TE arena.

I have never tried Traffic Wave (that is not to say I won’t), but I do wonder, if so many users of other ARs are experimenting with, or switching to Traffic Wave, does it have the capacity to cope?

The big three ARs have been proven, tried and tested over time to deliver, albeit, we will all have complaints from time to time, about them and indeed, with any service(s) that we use.

I will stay with my favorite ARs for the time being. It will need a lot more to convince me to change to, or even try, Traffic Wave, than limited numbers of forum and blog posts I have read thus far.

I am not anti Traffic Wave, I can’t be, as I’ve not tried out their service. Indeed I welcome their ‘introduction’, or perhaps I should say the rise in their profile recently. IMHO, the more quality service providers in any market, the greater the competition and hopefully, the better the choice and deal for the consumer.

    Just my thoughts,

    Jeff Henshaw.

  17. I was introduced to Traffic Wave sometime ago and at first couldn’t see the need to change as AWeber were providing everything I needed.

I used it sparingly and hardly promoted it at all (1 active referral), while my main mailing lists were with AWeber.

I was surprised to find that Traffic Wave was earning me enough money on a monthly basis to pay for its membership fee (I have a very active sponsor) and decided to do some further investigation.

Traffic Wave gives great deliverability rates and has become my AR of choice, although I have a substantial list at AWeber and haven’t terminated my involvement there.

There is one quibble I have with TWave and that is that broadcast times can be delayed.

  18. Great comments above..
When I started on the Interent I Joined Traffic Wave through Soren form “Viking Safelists”

    Remember those days?
I enjoyed the service and still do. Enjoy the downline Income from both Systems…

Only paid One month service for each out of pocket

But many of my lists are on Aweber because of services not Available at TW

  19. Hi, Folks.

We’re very excited about Tim, Jon, and others making the switch to TrafficWave.net!

I’m not sure I will personally be able to stop by each blog/forum I find but I do like to pop in whenever I can from time to time.

I’d like to address the very valid question of capacity. TrafficWave.net owns its own servers and we make a point of making sure that we are considerably “over prepared” for growth and volume.

We could quite easily take on several times our current volume without running in to any limitations. We are also prepared for quick and seamless expansion when the need arises.

One of the big issues for us when we were building our infrastructure was scalability. At each step, we’ve been able to expand very quickly and without service interruption.

We’ve been around for 9 years and we’re positioned to continue growing and adapting for many many more years to come.

We greatly appreciate the kudos and the endorsements. I think it’s important to note that many of the changes and enhancements to the system are a direct result of feedback received from our wonderful users.

We’re always taking new ideas from the field and doing everything we can to make sure that you experience excellent service, unparalleled deliverability, and reliable uptime.

We’re looking forward to working with each of you!

Thanks for the heads up for TrafficWave. The pricing looks perfect for my needs. I like the fact that monthly rate stays the same as my list grows.
