Creating a new shift in advertising

by Tim on August 4, 2010

Today we initiated something in Sweeva, with the goal in producing quality rather than quantity in traffic. The idea is simple, if you surf 10 pages every day you get a bonus that increases every day.

So 10 days from now it's 10 times the bonus, as long as you view 10 pages every day. Simple to achieve, but small enough where you can take your time and actually check out the sites you are viewing. No rush, take your time!

We hope this will create a shift, get more people actually participating and interacting with the sites in rotation. If we all do this, then it'll make using Sweeva even better. The results and feedback have been great, but we want to make it even greater!

If you aren't currently surfing 10 pages per day on Sweeva, start today!

Why Sweeva is GREAT

by Tim on July 28, 2010

I really can't get enough of the feedback about Sweeva, but the best thing is when something awesome happens to yourself. I know, being selfish right? I'm human too, so when I get great feedback on my pages in Sweeva, it gets me excited.

Recently Dave Schubert commented on my ad "I'm in. Congrat's on getting past 10,500 Tim. Time to update the ads." I totally forgot about the ad mentioning the 10,000 subscriber mark. Pretty cool!

But not only that, all the feedback on your page increases subscribers. Now you've got real people for the first time looking at your ad, seeing great feedback from other real people LIVE. Is that not the best testimonial?

Some people are really misunderstanding this as a simple review site. Yes, getting tons of "good" "ok" "bad" comments isn't helpful (you can delete them from your page), but the fact that people are looking at your site and giving feedback, even if you don't agree, is a big step.

Previously with traffic exchanges you had no clue if anyone even saw your page. You had no way to reply to any negative thoughts either. No way to win over new users because you had no way of knowing!

On PageSwirl's blog Dan Moses posted his splash page received negative feedback because the page didn't have links. Problem was, the member was trying to click the image not the text link. He explained the links were at the bottom, and the person joined all 4 sites!

A traditional exchange you'd never even know the person was clicking somewhere else. We all think we are geniuses and made the perfect page, but you really have no idea how many people are having trouble with it.. Until now!

If you've been sitting on the fence about Sweeva, why not hop on over and give it a shot. See what all the fuss is about! You get to be there LIVE with the very people you are trying to build a relationship with and get on your list, or buy your product. That's huge!

Look for the Sweeva Bonus

July 5, 2010

Something new on Sweeva are random bonuses on the Sweeva Widgets! That's right, you can find cool bonuses all over the web now. Sneaky isn't it? This idea isn't brand new, it was around when there were only a couple of exchanges. I don't remember which, so go ask Jon Olson as he's the one [...]

How Twitter Changes Business

June 21, 2010

There are still many businesses out there that think Twitter is useless. Just ask Jon Olson, he was at a conference where none other than Gary Vaynerchuk was there (he wrote the book Crush It!). There were people who weren't convinced. The funny thing is, those businesses that do use it get to do things [...]

Getting People to Vote on Sweeva

May 21, 2010

We made a change to Sweeva to get more people to vote on sites, essentially you must vote to view the next site. Some people love it, others hate it, here's what I think: If you don't actually like a site, thumb it down! As an advertiser I only care if people like the page. [...]

Be there for the browsers..

May 8, 2010

The most confusing part about Sweeva is the bidding process. People don't always get why they bid on specific days or times. It's so you can be there! Sweeva adds a 3rd dimension to your advertisements. You no longer are sending out a page and hoping people notice. You can be there with the viewers [...]

Getting extra bang out of Sweeva

Many people using Sweeva are used to the Traffic Exchange way of thinking. And one of those things is that you Title your website with nonsense that you know but doesn't really mean anything because nobody else sees it. Well Sweeva is totally different. What a week!

May 6, 2010

Well this past week we launched Sweeva, and it's been amazing to say the least. As I write this we are now at 3,483 members and climbing! Really really super excited. It started back in November when I Skype'd Jon Olson and asked him if he wanted to launch a traffic exchange. I had a [...]

Yes, I un-followed you on Twitter..

April 14, 2010

I decided to do something really crazy, and un-follow everyone on Twitter. And that includes you, if I was already following you. This wasn't an easy choice, because many people only follow people who follow them. And I like to give back, really I do. But there comes a time when following 12,000 people just [...]

Another Great Source of Traffic

May 26, 2009

Traffic exchanges will provide instant traffic flow, but they typically require surfing daily to keep that traffic flowing. To supplement that traffic social bookmarking can be another great source of traffic! What's cool about social bookmarking is that it can provide multiple streams of traffic from one action. There is traffic from the bookmarking sites [...]
