I received a phone call from a friend who pointed out I haven't done anything with RIPhoto in a long time. It's made me re-think about the site and get more motivated to get back into posting new photos. I think my problem was I was trying to do a new photo every day. Burnout.

It was difficult because we did have a baby and we did merge companies so a lot went on all at once. But I think switching to a weekly format would be better for me. Maybe call it "Photo Friday". And maybe I'll turn "Free Mug Friday" into "Mug Monday" lol*

So there you go. I think typing this out has got me motivated, so much so that I decided to post a photo of 30 people surfing at Narraganset Beach RI! It'll be fun to get into photography again..

My photography partner and I scored press passes, so we are going today for a press only showing. They mentioned getting on flights is unlikely if your following is small, BUT they didn't say it wasn't possible!

I do suppose though that the feedburner count being off by a LOT isn't going to help my credability right? LOL Oh well. Anyways follow me and I'm going to try to remember to post some photos during the day from my phone. Will be fun!

You must visit Providence during Waterfire. It's amazingly relaxing. What is it? Well basically, they start a bunch of fires down a river that goes through the city, and play music. There will often times be street performers to watch as well. I've got many more Providence Waterfire photos for your viewing. They haven't released the schedule for this upcoming year yet, but in case you are visiting here this summer, you might want to wait till they do so you don't end up missing it.

After thinking about it for a while, I thought it would be best to have a seperate blog for my photography endeavors. It only makes sense, since it's completely different than marketing. Some people will like both, but I'd say the majority are only going to want to hear about one or the other. I may still post photography related stuff here every once in a while, but primarily it'll all be there ;-)

I purchased an 18-200mm VR lens recently. Above you can see the difference when VR (Vibration Reduction) is turn Off (left) and On (right). It makes a big difference. This was taken in my living room with no flash and no lights turned on. Only low filtered sunlight.

My Nikon D50 is doing me well. I am in the learning process of photography. It'll be a fun way to get myself offline for small periods of time if only to prevent carpal tunnel. Ok so it wouldn't prevent it, but still I need to get outdoors.

Today I may be getting an SB-600 flash. Jon recently purchased one. I might wait till after Christmas, I'm just not sure.

I've decided to shoot in Fine JPG mode. Doing RAW is just tedious and annoying. I've got a bunch of photos from newport that all need to be processed now. So much easier with JPG.

I've been playing with Picasa2, Flickr, Picasa Web Albums, etc. I'm looking for an easy way to share the photos I'll be taking. However, I'd prefer them on my own site - lindenfoto.com

You can see pictures from golfing there. Not sure the setup I'll be using yet. Carpal tunnel is treating me nicer lately, but it seems it wants to stay a bit longer. I've been learning techniques to prevent it and build up my wrists.
