A few weeks ago I was given an invite to VaultPress, a new backup service for WordPress blogs. It creates snapshots of your blog whenever anything has changed, so you can restore to any version.
The initial backup took quite a bit, but then after that it's really just incrementally backing up your settings every time they are changed. The plugin hooks into what seems like every hook on WordPress so anytime something changes it saves it to the Vault.
The pricing is kinda high for the typical user, but for the power user or anyone who really understands the value of their data it's perfect. At least the pricing they are charging testers, I don't know what the final price structure will be. I can say it's a flat monthly pricing and it backs up all your plugins and uploads too.
Yesterday I found out the hard drive this blog is running on was failing, so it got replaced. It was very nice knowing that I had everything backed up with VaultPress, ready to download. Turns out I didn't need the backups, but the whole process of getting the drive replaced was stress free knowing I had them in place.
