It's official.. wpFutureCal!

by Tim on February 2, 2012

I'm pretty pumped at this, my plugin is now an official plugin on WordPress. You can easily install it by going to Plugins -> Add New and putting in wpFutureCal!

I increased the font size and coloring to make it easier to read. I found out the hard way it was too small when I posted the same day twice! I caught it in time but didn't want to even have to think using this. Go install it now! If you have a WordPress login I'd love it if you went and rated the plugin.

Patrick Griffin Online

by Tim on January 25, 2012

Another contestant that I haven't reviewed yet is Patrick Griffin. His blog is great because he gives a ClickTrackProfit badge to subscribers. What else can I say? Actually...

Sorry!

That's right, Sorry Patrick for not reviewing your blog sooner. I just found this in my drafts. Apparently I started, forgot to finish, but thought I had done it. And last year you came all the way to New England to meet us TimTech Nerds and you didn't say a thing.

I'll be honest here, Patrick is one of the few guys that I'll actually read his posts. I even read the crazy words on wednesdays and use them in my personal facebook posts to make my friends think I'm smart.

If that doesn't convince you, maybe this will. We like his blog so much he actually helped us make the CTP Blog Mastery. So if you aren't subscribed to his blog go ahead right now and check it out. It's almost as good as mine!

Aweber Just Got Better

January 24, 2012

Ironic because Jon Olson just decided to ditch Aweber completely, and here I am going wow this is great! He's got a beef with Aweber that goes back far, me on the other hand, I still like it. They updated their Aweber WordPress Plugin to allow users who comment on your post to subscribe to [...]

Simple, Free, WordPress Plugin

January 18, 2012

I've shown you the calendar I use to mark off days I write on my blog. Well interestingly enough I've found a problem with that method. My problem is I have a laptop upstairs, and my desktop in my office. Usually when I'm in the writing mood I'm upstairs with a cup of coffee and [...]

My blog is my list. My list is my blog.

January 9, 2012

I get in trouble all the time, because I still talk about building your list. And then Jon and Justin will make statements like TimTech isn't really into list building, it's into social. Well the big aha moment is this: My list is my blog. My blog is a social tool. I'm trying to communicate [...]

The real reason I use a calendar

January 5, 2012

OK so I might not have been 100% telling the truth about these calendars. That's because I kind of cheat. Which is a good thing but also a bad thing. I use my calendar to track my blogging of posts, to make sure I do it every day. But it's also useful for queuing up [...]

I'm only doing this because I have to

January 2, 2012

I'm only doing this blog post because I have to. Otherwise all of you will come crashing down on me about how I say to use a calendar to mark your progress. And how I said I wanted to post to the blog every day in the new year. Or maybe I didn't say that [...]

A VERY Happy Thanksgiving!

November 24, 2011

I didn't think it would be possible, but this Thanksgiving we're VERY happy at TimTech! The mysterious weird lag issues we've been having was finally solved. It turns out a single line of code in a configuration file can turn 82 Cores and 216GB RAM server cluster into a big frustration. But as these graphs [...]

Just help the guy out

October 25, 2011

OK Folks so Larry won't stop talking about winning this referral contest, so I figured I'd tell you guys so he can stop talking about it to me. I mean c'mon I've already joined the site I can't help him. He's actually doing a pretty good job too. He setup a video, he made a [...]

Why are you subscribed?

August 22, 2011

Today I ask YOU, why are you subscribed to my blog? If you'd take a few minutes to let me know I'd appreciate it. You hear from me all the time, isn't it time for me to hear from you? I know many business owners out there are subscribed, but please take the time to [...]

Trying out VaultPress

July 23, 2010

A few weeks ago I was given an invite to VaultPress, a new backup service for WordPress blogs. It creates snapshots of your blog whenever anything has changed, so you can restore to any version. The initial backup took quite a bit, but then after that it's really just incrementally backing up your settings every [...]

Jon Olson is Gonna Pay!

July 18, 2010

I recently purchased a blender, and started blending every day. While I was in Traffic Exchange Live talking to Jon Olson (and of course all you regulars) he told me he didn't think I'd do it every day. He even went as far as to say that if I posted every day for 30 days [...]

10,000 Subscribers.. Now what do we do to Celebrate

June 3, 2010

I've been waiting for this moment for quite a while. Feedburner's been bouncing the number up and down, but it's official - the blog states 10,007 subscribers! Wooo hooo! So I brought this up in Traffic Exchange Live, and James Holmes had a great idea which I will be using! I wanted to do a [...]

You know I'm not faking numbers because..

May 24, 2010

OK this is really driving me nuts guys. That counter on my blog keeps bobbling around 9,955 subscribers! I checked my Aweber stats and sure enough each time I mail out there are a few bounced emails that get dropped. Please don't bounce your emails =P It's like there is this glass ceiling that is [...]

New Design, Thanks to Sweeva

May 19, 2010

I've updated my site's look to be more consistent with my new orange branding. The last theme I really just opened the files up and colored orange over the blue. It wasn't terrible, but it looked a bit faked (at least to me). This wasn't planned, but I was surfing Sweeva and this page came [...]

Want more subscribers to your blog?

March 25, 2010

With all the talk about my blog nearing 10,000 subscribers I wanted to give you a quick update on how I'm building the subscribers to my blog. It's really easy, I do it two ways: 1) StartXchange - I run a traffic exchange, so when users join at some point they'll get a "one time [...]

The Secret About Blogs

October 20, 2009

One of the biggest mistake blog owners make when advertising their blog, is sticking their blogs right into a traffic exchange. They get the instant surge of traffic, a few comments, and get excited. But then reality sinks in and they realize they have to surf a whole lot *every day* just to get a [...]

Do you struggle with ideas?

March 23, 2009

This happens to me all the time, in fact you can tell now by how infrequent I've been posting. I'll go through periods where I'm on fire, coming up with new posts and tracking tests to share with you, and then periods of time where I just can't get anything together. Well this happens to [...]

What Should I Do?

November 21, 2008

I'm looking for feedback from you my readers. You subscribed so really you get to dictate where I go with the blog, because if I go where you don't want me to go, essentially you'll unsubscribe. And that, is not the way to run a successful blog. SO, do you care if I post about [...]
