Meet with People

I meet weekly with some men I know offline.  It’s interesting to hear the things they are going through in their businesses, and I learn alot even though they are offline businessmen. One does consulting for businesses and I get to hear some stories about problems he has helped find a solution to. Another flys back and forth to China to oversee manufacturing of popular toys and there are some interesting stories there too.

If you aren’t meeting regularly with other people, I suggest you try to do so. You might not have an internet millionaire in your neighborhood but business is business. It’s also good to get a non online opinion on things because it brings a different perspective. Sometimes you can get great ideas that you wouldn’t think up when you are stuck in your online world.

    That is an excellent tip. Too often people neglect those in the typical ‘brick n mortar’ businesses. Not only do they have good ideas, but they can help point you in some directions that you haven’t thought of. Befriending other business owners and allowing them to mentor you is also another great tip.

    Chuck you are exactly right. Both markets are seemingly unlimited for potential. Not to mention that 80-90% of online products are relevant to or equivalent to offline offerings.
