Learn how to make money online
While surfing there is a huge number of advertisements that sell you on the fact that you don’t have to do anything to make money with their system. They did it all for you, and you don’t have to do anything. That’s great right?
Well yes, and no! For instance you’ve heard me talk about Clickbank Pirate quite a bit. It’s actually working for me so I’m excited about it. But that’s not the only thing I’m doing in my business. And neither should you!
Things like that are great to help you with your business, not BE your business. Making money online is hard work, but the people who make the most money are the people who learn how to do it. If you rely on all these systems for your income, rather than seeing them as an extra source, if they ever shut down you’re business goes down with them.
That’s why building your own list is crucial as well. You can promote anything you want, and if the programs ever stop producing results, or even go offline, you simply remove that email from your autoresponder series. It makes little impact on your business overal.
But when you truly don’t know how to run a business, where do you go for help? Well my suggestion would be Affiliate Funnel. The whole premise is “Build your business, not someone else’s”. Yes there is a downline builder, yes it’s a system, but the goal of the system is to teach you to do it your own way.
The donwline builder even has a section called “Your programs” where you put whatever you want into the system, so your downline sees the programs you want them to see.
The best part is all the training you’ll receive. There are lessons, a forum, and even a weekly Saturday conference where you get to learn and ask questions.
If you use any system, just remember it’s a tool for your business. Be sure to not let the system make businesses decisions for you. You can take the suggestions, but be careful when you are required to do something to stay in the system. It can end up costing you more money, and wasting more time down the road.

Hi Tim…
I am a member of your TE and also Affiliate Funnel, etc. I understand about not putting all of your eggs in one basket and I do agree. My problem is that there is just so much to read and understand, when will there be any time to “work” your business? Can’t someone just spell it out in steps, do this first, then this, then that? I know it sure would make my life a lot easier. Seems all I do is read and read and find myself working less and less. Any suggestions about this would be awesome. Thanks Tim… Judy
Great tips Tim. Yea I do hope people start realizing that there is no magical system out there.
CB pirate might be the closest I’ve seen to it, but no matter it’s all about building your list for long term success.
There’s lots of stuff that can help you on your way though, like cb pirate and AF. :)

Good advice, as always. Any ideas on article marketing in your funnel?
A business is like anything worth doing takes time and patience.
Hi Tim,
You couldn’t be more right. Like the saying goes don’t put all your eggs in one basket, and DO NOT build someones business build your own.
Take care,
Chris
One of the best advice you have written, so far!
When I started my Internet adventures 4 years ago,
the first thing I did was to get a premium hosting
account and several domains.
But there has been a lot of miss-adventures along the
way taking short cuts by building my Internet presence
on other people’s virtual real estate properties to
save time, money and effort.
The truth is any Internet tool or operation that does
not bring people back to your main camp of operations,
is futile.
But these “do-it-for-you” setup are hard to resist.
I have to comment on this one.
‘If you use any system, just remember it’s a tool for… Your Business.’
I totally agree Tim, I will also say, it ranks as one of your best advise… :)

Hi Tim.
Systems are a dime a dozen. When people fail they always blame the system not realizing the problem wasn’t the system it’s usually the people using the system.
Self-branding and list building will always be the best way to create a long-term Internet business.

True true. Systems ARE GREAT….if you USE them and USE them PROPERLY! But too many people buy stuff for it to sit on the shelf unused! You have to USE them!
Systems work…if you WORK THEM> A lot of them are very good, but total hands off? Not unless you are paying money (sometimes BIG money). Making money online does take work, I had a LOT of emails from Tim and others on CB Pirates-that was work. They did work earlier to develop their lists. Outsourcing can help-but that takes money too. I don’t think there is really a free lunch. It is actually one of my pet peeves about online business.
