The Best Got Even Better

I bet you’ve noticed the FeedBurner image at the right of my blog, currently stating 582 Subscribers. It’s been steadily growing. Up until now I’ve been using the FeedBurner email service.
Today I noticed that Aweber finally is sending their feed count stats when grabbing the RSS feed. Basically this means that FeedBurner can know how many are subscribed via email via Aweber. So now I’m shifting my Blog Broadcasts to Aweber. I’m going to first be putting the new opt in forms on all my splash pages, and then eventually I’ll be importing the FeedBurner subscribers over to Aweber.
This is really great because it now means Aweber has *every* feature I need in an email delivery service. I really like having the subscriber stats displayed on my blog, and so for the longest of time I’ve been having to not use them. But woo hoo now I can! You should be using Aweber too, as the options are just fantastic!

i’m sick of hearing about aweber and have finally decided to switch from getresponse to aweber as it seems to be the best according to all their fans, lol.
tim, why don’t you write an ebook about how to setup a cool blog like this one,
with all the bells and whistles, and also how to integrate it with aweber and feed burner.
i just setup my wordpress blog a few days ago and added a few plugins,
so i’d love a resource like that abd would pay $17-$97 for the ebook.
but make sure it is simple and step by step - or maybe offer a custom blog, aweber, feedburner setup service.
= )

I am also using AWeber for my blog broadcasts, and I agree with you. AWeber is a fantastic tool and it just keeps on getting better and better.

Actually I have been hearing lots of complaints about aweber. Some people are upset about the double opt in system. Personally I prefer double opt in subscribers. Using a company to handle your auto-responder service has both negative and positive points. Bad: If you dont pay your bill then you loose your list. Bad: You are at their mercy; if they do maintenance on their system then you suffer. Good: Your emails are more likely to reach your subscribers. Good: You are less likely to be accussed of spamming. For myself I did not want to pay a monthly fee so I purchased a autoreponder and installed it on my site. I used omnistar mailer. I wouldnt recommend it as it is rather unecessarily complicated. Just recently I started using get response. What a difference. It is very easy to use. If you decide to buy then use get response. If you go with a monthly fee then use aweber. Thats my two cents.

when you are dealing with contacts you had better back up your list at least once a month and keep 2 copies - one onsite and the other offsite in case of fire i.e. don’t backup on a cd and leave it on top of your pc. you can also zip it and upload to non-public area of your web hosting company so you can access it from anywhere - i do that with my ebooks.
good thing too because recently i had to rebuild my pc from scratch after a crash.

“when you are dealing with contacts you had better back up your list”
Take this advice. I had to learn the hardway and lost my entire list. Now I have a back-up and a hard copy.
