New Email Provider

If you are subscribed to my blog via email, please update to the new provider. The box looks EXACTLY like the old one on the site. The difference is this will be using FeedBurner rather than Aweber.

I love Aweber and will continue using it for the StartXchange blog. However for this blog I like two features Aweber doesn’t do for me:

1) Aweber doesn’t do feed stats. So services like FeedBurner don’t know about the subscribers there. Most feed readers do it, and it’s simple to implement. In fact I contacted Aweber about doing it and they said they’d look into it. I just want that number to show accurate stats =P

2) Feedburner will only send out email once a day, and in a certain time frame. I like that so I don’t have to worry about posting multiple times in one day and mass emailing you all over and over. This feature is a con for StartXchange, and is why I’m keeping Aweber. For that blog if I send out two updates, I want two emails!

So there you have it. I’ll leave both sending out emails for a while but please re-subscribe to the right. Thank you!

This is interesting. I have actually thought about switching the e-mail subscription on my blog to AWeber, and I am currently using FeedBurner.

But now I see that I probably should stay with FeedBurner.

    Thanks!

Yes, if you are displaying the feedburner count then I’d say use feedburner (or an email service that supports it). It’s also free, so if you don’t already have Aweber you can save a few bucks ;-)
