With our company we interact with people on a daily basis. Some people hate us, some people love us. And in general, when people hate us we act like HoneyBadgers and just don’t care.
I found a blog post about Choosing Customers while Exploring on Sitizens. It really sums up what we’ve been doing, without actually putting it into words. In essence, we don’t care if people don’t like us because we don’t have the time to please everyone. So instead we spend our time pleasing the people who like us and what we do.
I’d encourage you to do the same with your business. Don’t take it personal if someone doesn’t like you. Now obviously you don’t have to go egg someones house and say bad things about them to make them leave, but it’s OK to say, well this isn’t how I roll.
Good for you. We should all be this way. I know (not personally) someone who seems to trash you guys all the time. They go off on these rants and tirades and sometimes don’t make any sense and then send it out in emails. I just laugh at them. Keep up the good work.
I agree, called “respect”. Don’t like it, disagree move on.
Life is too short for nonsense and accomplishes nothing
If you get kicks out of bashing, says very little about you.
Good call…far too many people spend lots of time and energy focusing on people who hate them while ignoring those who like them. I’ve always found that an odd approach to business.
