So to the people who do write articles, I've got a few questions and/or thoughts. The last post got me thinking.
Do you post all your content to the article directories, or do you keep some unique content for your own site (ie blog). I'm thinking if you make a blog where you post all your really good content, and submit articles to all the directories and have them link to your blog, it'd be a way to gain links and traffic to your blog.
But is that what you do? With traffic exchanges there are people who just submit standard affilliate pages in, so I'm wondering if people are doing that with articles too. IMO that'd be a waste.
I use my blog as my list, so I'd see big value in bringing more people to my list directly in this way. That way I can continue to sell to my readers.
Just don't be like Sea Fast Traffic and have a script that copies content off of real blogs and links to it (which your trackbacks are auto flagged as spam guys so might as well stop). The reason people like my blog is I post real content.
Also - what directories do you submit to? For spam reasons, it's best to just post the name not URL (blog will mark your comment as spam if you have too many URLs). I know about EzineArticles but I'm interested in hearing what directories you think are worth your time.
Finally - much talk about outsourcing articles. Anyone out there already outsourcing it? How much an article do you pay? Anyone out there interested in being paid to do it for others?
Since I don't consider myself an expert in this area, I'm interested in the feedback! I may try the outsourcing thing, but still not sure about it all. I'm limited on time (only reason I'm posting this now is I was watching the kids with a netbook in hand) so we'll see if I ever do any of it LOL

Hi Tim.
I submit my articles to EzineArticles, once it’s approved I post it to my blog, Tweet it and my Tweets hit Facebook.
I also do Blog Carnival submissions for those articles I feel will get me the extra traffic.
I know some experts that encourage writing a bunch of articles a day or a week, use submission tools, submit to a bunch of directories or outsource their articles which is something to consider.
As simple as I’ve kept it I definitely have seen a rise in my traffic. People are contacting me through articles I wrote weeks ago so can’t complain.

We have a blog on our site. I do send links to blog in E-mails we send out. Try to write interesting articles. we need to write more often. We are not great article writers and get writers block. We do not have someone else write for us . We do use articles others have written when it is truly good and we want to share this with others.
Your writing is good . do it yourself.
Who else knows what you want to say better than you?
I am still learning and am so trying to get more traffic to our sites.
I run out of time and energy.
If you go and read the last blog posted you will find we are showing our heart work at Maypearl and I will not be able to do a lot of surfing.
I dislike that ,but at this time that is how it is. Things are always changing, so Hopes and dreams can happen.
Have a great day. Thank you for all you do.
I post my articles to my blog(s) first, then on article directories. I want my blog articles to come up first on the search engines if possible.
Yeah that’s something I’d be concerned about. The article directories have more “TrustRank” so they can rank higher for your article. I know so because many times searching I’ve seen two copies of a page rank and of course EzineArticles is up on top =P
Hi Tim,
When I submit my articles I live a link back to my lead capture page so I can collect leads and take it from there.
Each article I write I also post it on HubPages and a few other social sites to help get it back links so my article ranks higher for my keywords.
If your looking for a good place to write articles for you try getafreelancer.com as I find people on there who write articles for me all the time from $3 per article to $6 per article.
I also found a new place that I’ve been using for the past 3 months and so far I like them a lot. It’s called 99centarticles.com.
Hope this information helps you and anyone else looking to write articles.
Take care,
Chris
Just saw I forgot to mention where I post my articles. My favorite places are buzzle.com and articlebase.com they rank great and your articles get approved fast.

Chris
Article takes time, planning and focus.
There are 3 basic ways to pursue writing articles:
Reviews and Press:
Writing reviews and press that sell affiliate products
Original Articles:
Submitting Niche content to article sites that brands you
as an expert and get backlinks to your blogs from high
ranking sites.
Backlinking:
Alternatively, you can put the original content on your
blog and then seek out high ranking blog posts that are
relevant and leave a comment with your backlinking tags.
The question of duplicate content is always a big
problem when placing the same article on your blog and
submitting it to article sites.
You have to re-write them. But luckily, there is software
to do that; and lots of free PLR content you can re-write
in a few minutes, instead of paying for for it.
A recent blog resource site called FreeTrafficSystem makes
it very easy to submit to blog sites. You can “spin” the
same article to over 30 blog sites in the same Niche with
each submission. This process can build up your backling
process in no time.

Always post your article on your website or blog first. Then place it on an article site or sites.
If you place it on an article site first and someone steals it and uses it as their own, then you will have a devil of a job proving that you were the originator of the article. Most of he article sites don’t have the inclination or time to help you out, if you get into such a dispute.
If you have placed it on your own site or blog first, then you will have evidence that it appeared first on your site or blog, before being published elsewhere by the thief.
Just my thoughts,
Regards,
Jeff.
I’m always worried about the duplicate content thing – I’m not really clear on the rules! Surely if you post an article on your blog, and then submit it to article directories, it will be seen as duplicate content?
I have used NeedAnArticle.com before and been very pleased with the results.

Mary
I use an article spinner, it changes content based on several parameters do I don’t have duplicate content problems. I offer a great traffic getter in a free email series for articles and blog posts which I use. I also post on other’s Blogs through a great free system I belong to. I would post links here, but I don’t want to get in any trouble!!
Not wanting to repeat any of the above,I will add new content. Where do I get fresh content?
I have 5 kids,17 grandkids and 4 greats.Yes I started earily.
I take a notebook and pens everywhere I go. I listen to others. if I hear something interesting,I make a note of it .Then I ask if I can write a story based on the true content.
I print my stories out with date and time on them.My blogs are 1/3 true stories, 1/3 usuful information on the topic at hand and ending with a small business link as well as my signatures and autoresponder series link.
I am just a 65 year old peanut in this big internet world.foxybird foxybird123
I like to use articles and what I usually do in the beginning is put a post on my blog then rewrite the article a little and spin and then start submitting it to article directories. I have that article link to the post on my blog and to the home page of the site.
The reason why is I’m trying to get all my post to rank in the search engines then hopefully one day my home page will also link under a very competitive keyword like working from home.
Just remember google like’s unique content so always try to put the best article on your site.
Also, don’t forget you can use things like Squidoo and Hubpages to gain even more links and traffic back to your site’s.
Hi Tim,
I’ve got to say that when it comes to articles I generally have been writing my own and submitting them through the ISnare service.
ISnare then check your article and submit it to hundreds of sites.
I’d recommend checking it out, the distribution of your article costs around $2 per article, but it saves a lot of time.
Regards,
Simon
